how do i find the traders in the underground?

Yes, that is how you find them but that's not particularly specific.

You could try Googling the Japanese names of the towns, but evidently that would make too much sense.
Futaba Town is Twinleaf, though digging in Oreburgh works too.
Kannagi Town is Celestic. It's about the only place that works for that zone.
Nomose City is Pastoria, but Hearthome, Floaroma, Veilstone and Eterna work for that zone too.

So depending on the zone you are in can you get different stuff from the underground?

Not really... you just get different traders... plus your secret base may or may not be accessible...

Yes, you might not be able to get to your base so remember where you make it. If you're going to play capture the flag, make sure you and whoever you're playing with have your bases in the same zone. For example, I have two friends I was playing it with and our bases are all in the orange zone.
The traders all have a different selection and the selection changes everyday. You also have a different selection to your friends.
If you don't get an item one day, you can get it again eventually, so save your spheres. I'm currently trying to save prism spheres for a Wii console for my base.
