A better Dark/Ghost than Sableye would be nice & possibly uber

As would Poisen/Dark with levitate but still a nice combo without it

It'd be cool if some pokemon sometimes had different types too, i.e. some charizards are fire/flying and some are fire/dragon

I believe that ice/dragon would get one hit KOd by any rock attack.

Grass or Bug and anything. Also, seconding Grass/Ghost, because that'd just be neat.

There already is one-Steelix.

Fire/Psychic. Psychic attacks pwn and Fire usually has good speed and defense stats.

Fire usually have good speed and attack, and lower defenses. But combining the two best sweeper types should be quite interesting.

A ghost-normal type would have such an advantage-immune to three types (ghost, normal, and fighting), weak only against Dark, it'd be an Anti-Psychic/Anti-ghost killing machine! Unless it had horrible stats, which would just suck.

Charizard as a Fire/Dragon? That would be cool, but I think it'd give him a bit of an unfair edge against the other starters, and really upset some of the team balances (my team would become A LOT better tho, so maybe I wouldn't mind that much :twisted: )

Ghost/Water is kool. Ghost/Fighting is neat too cuz it loses its vulnerability to Dark, Fighting attacks destroy and it is immune to other Fighters (handy in a boxing match where all opponent's punches pass thru him :twisted: ).

who said dragon/ice would die easily to rock? it would be no worse off than dragon/flying (they both have a weakness, but its not a couble weakness). i would really love a dragon/ice type. a few weaknesses - steel, rock, fighting, dragon, but thats not too bad. and yeah, dragon/fire is one i would love. for something like charizard which can clearly fly, they would have to give it the levitate ability (like flygon), and that would kind of go against the tradition of fire starters having blaze. still, there are plenty of pokemon that can fly but still get hit by ground type moves (like a lot of bug/poison types - eg beedrill, dustox, venomoth).

but my vote would go to a ice/electric type. it would just be cool to have a bolt-beamer who gets STAB on both moves :) :)

oh, and i always thought sceptile could easily have been grass/dragon. and flygon looks more like bug/dragon to me.

and someone already suggested ghost/normal. that would also be a great counter to the standard curselax! except that from the 4th gen onwards, snorlax will have crunch instead of shadow ball........

electric/ice must look awesome! plus with the electric type's mad speed, and the ice type's special atk, it would be a good sweeper. Also a fighting/flying would be cool, too.

Dude, the Ice/Electric thing would be awesome. Also the Electric/Fire... actually, Electric/anything has the potential to be useful.

As far as combos I'd like to see? Hrm... Grass/Fire would be funny, same with Ice/Rock (4x to fighting tho, :<). Do we have a Dark/Steel yet?

I'd also like to see a pure Flying, but that isn't a combo, X3

Lol. Opponent sees a fire pokemon and sends out a water type. He uses Surf like he would on any fire pokemon. This pokemon electrifies the water attack and absorbs it, building up it's electrical power. He then counters with Thunderbolt, KOing the water pokemon.

Of course, it would be soooo scared of Earthquake. :lol:

No, think about the other starters fully evolved.

Three things steel is bad against-Fire, Fighting, and Ground.

Turtwig and Chimchar become hybrids-guess what they are?

Turtwig-Grass/Ground

Chimchar-Fire/Fighting

The way the new starters are set up, is that they are WEAK and STRONG agaisnt each other. The way this works is the same as it always has, look at the types

{infernape}
Fire/Fighting

{empoleon}
Water/Steel

{torterra}
Grass/Ground

It's nout until the Final forms that the pokemon Become strong against each other(they don't get the 2nd types till the third evolution).

Infernape Vs. Empoleon
Fighting > Steel
Fire <Water> Fire
Grass < Fire

Empoleon Vs. Torterra(Special Case)
Ground < Water
Steel < Ground

Empoleon never really learns any attacks that make him effective against torterra unless he gets an ICE move which isn't his type. So actually out of the 3 Empoleon is the weakest , as well as in overall stats.

Empoleon may seem to be the weakest, but consider that Torterra is the only 4th generation starter that can take quad damage from a single attack. Nothing other then Empoleon's Ice Beam.
