I need an awesome 1337 fire team, made completely out of fire type pokemon. They can know any type of move though. It needs to be as balanced as possible as far as moves go.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Infernape: it's the only fire-type other than Rapidash (mediocre stats) you can get in D/P until you get the National Dex. It's extremely fast, and the fact that it's fighting-type with amazing stats just makes it an all-around good choice. If nothing else, get this one.

There aren't really enough good fire types to make a good team.

It's a bummer, but I really think this isn't a worthwhile venture.

Although there are'nt that many interesting dual-type fire pokemon, they are still versatile enough stat-wise to fill many different battle roles.

Torkoal- tank /toxi-tank
Rest, toxic, amnesia, flamethrower

Infernape/ blaziken, physical sweeper
Blaze kick/ flare blitz, Close combat/ sky uppercut, aerial ace, earthquake

Ninetales- special sweeper and annoyer
Willowisp, confuse ray, flamethrower, grudge/ spite

Houndoom- special sweeper and water-killer
sunny day, flamethrower, solarbeam, crunch

Camerupt- semi tank and damage dealer
Earthpower, amnesia, heatwave, ancient power

Magmortar- special sweeper
Flamethrower, thunderbolt, flash cannon, psychic

a reasonable team, Possibly replacing magmortar with charizard to give some ground immunity.

Umm, ok....thanks for adding that?

Now, the only two fire types that you can get pre-Nat. Dex are Infernape and Rapidash, but Sefrin has provided a pretty good guide to see what you can get, Toxicroak is a good addition and is also Pre-Na. Dex. See what you can do with him.

Arcanine has alot of stats for a fire user as well. I'd add him on a fire team with Infernape and Blaziken.

I can't give solid advice on a whole team of fire people, since I only use one on my dream team. Arcanine: His Att and Sp. Att are really worth it. His Def lacks, but is made up with Spd.

I'd use him with a flame plate, and Overheat. Extremespeed is also a nice touch if you want to get a heads up on yoru opponent. Other than that, can't help you. I'm still trying to figure out what other moves I should give him.

blaergh, fire~

I agree with Sefrin

I'd say Houndoom is key. It's the only fire type I'd ever care to use, and with the special/physical split, it's got great flamethrower and crunch potential

Nintetales would be another. Confuse Ray and Will O wisp together is often seen as a bad thing. Will o wisp cuts attack, but you want the pokemon to have as much attack as possible to hurt itself with.

However, if it hits itself and is burnt, it'll lose health pretty quick.

As for the rest, I'm not sure. The above are the only two Fire types that I have any time for.

as I've already stated, torkoal is a worthy addition to the team. despite being slower than a garbage truck with no wheels, he has excellent defenses and his white smoke ability helps make him even more resiliant.

Not to mention he's my fave fire type.

How do you know this? Do you have proof, because the only thing Will-o-wisp is described as is that it burns.

Sefrin have a really good idea on most fire types so I'll just say if you are using charizard.

Charizard (Modest):
Air Slash
Flamethrower
Dragon Pulse
Roost

Burn in general halves attack, not just from Will-o-Wisp. :)

Taken from here:

Quote:
If a Pokémon is under Burn condition, it's attack is halved.

Personally I like Blazekin but Infernape is probably about the same if not better but i haven't used him so i don't know. And what about Entei, if ubers are ok for this team (maybe a pokemon that could be used in an uber aloud match or something like that)

^I really wouldn't consider Entei an "uber" at all. Anything from the "trios" I wouldn't consider uber. Regardless, Entei kind of sucks... its physical attack is way better than its special, but it's physical movepool is terrible.
