I have a new combo, the classic GenGross. I hope Daveshan comes back soon!

{gengar} Spec. Sweeper @ Lum Berry
Modest | EVs: 252 SA, 252 Spd, 6 HP
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Ice Punch
Giga Drain

{metagross} Phys. Sweeper @ Leftovers
Adamant | EVs: 159 HP, 252 Attack, 99 Spd.
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Agility
Explosion

Strategy: A Special Sweeper and a Physical Sweeper...Gengar isn't hit by Earthquake nor Explosion, while Metagross is uber-fast with Agility. After one Agility, it can outspeed the 130-Speed Aero and friends. The Defensive EVs on Meta are for defensive help, obviously. Gengar takes out counters like Weezing, Swampert, other Bulky Waters, and Meta can destroy everyone's favorite pink, fluffy Spec. Sponge, along with Gengar-counters like Raikou. Basically, two strong Sweepers that watch out for each other.

Hiatus Is Over

That's right folks my hiatus is done. I should have the some results by the end of Monday.

-----------------------

Sooner than expected.

mun2's lunatone/solrock duo worked great. Did what it came to do and worked well when the strategy got messed up due to intimidators.

5/5 for opening pair

2/5 for not opening pair

OK, heres one

{claydol} @ Leichi Berry
Levitate
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 129 Atk, 252 Def, 129 SpDef, 6 HP
Earthquake
Protect
Cosmic Power
Skill Swap

{electrode} @ Leichi Berry
Static
Nature: Jolly/Hasty
EV's: 252 Spd, 152 Atk, 100 SpAtk, 6 HP
Explosion
Thunderbolt
HP (Dark)
Protect

Ill edit in how to use it later

EDIT: Ok, heres how to use this.

First, have Claydol Skill Swap Levitate onto Electrode. Then, have Electrode sweep with Thunderbolt, and have Claydol use Cosmic Power once. After that, Claydol can Earthquake in safety because of Electrode having Levitate.

Once Electrode is at low health, the Leichi Berry will set in. Here, you have Electrode use Protect, and have Claydol (if its still around) use Cosmic Power, or Protect if it has lower than adequate health to survive Explosion. Why Protect? To see what the opponent does. If he attacks, then have Electrode explode on the next turn. If he thinks you'll use Explosion that turn, and switches to a ghost/physical wall, use Hidden Power.

I'll get to your team as soon as I can, blaziken.

For now, mun2's duo of medicham and gardevoir failed horribly. It couldn't even get one pokemon since their stats are too low.

mun2's third team, Mewtwo and Latios, did very well. However, it failed at the level one expects from two ubers of that quality, so I'm not adding it to the HoF.

Next will be Saanaito's claydol and flareon duo.

Neither of Saanaito's teams did well.

R-cubed: The prefered strategy for using solar beam in a double battle is this

Arcanince w/flash fire:
sunny day + 3 physical moves

Exeggcutor:
Skill swap + Solar beam + HP fire + psychic

The strategy is to have Arcanine use sunny day and exeggutor use skill swap. Exeggutor is free to solar beam and arcanine is much faster. Also, HP fire capitalizes on the odds that Exeggutor will be attacked by a fire attack. Sorry, your plan isn't close to as effective.

Swampzard: You have mixed sweepers and an unspecific description of your plan. Sorry, I can't use that. Please fix and clarify.

bushin: I'll try out your jirachi/kindra team, but your second team isn't as good as another one I've seen that uses an enduring/sweeping groudon and an exeggcutor.

EDIT: bushin, your jirachi/kindra team did very well. I had to tweak a few things, but your starategy remained the same. Well done. I really didn't expect it to do that well.

Let's see...
i am not very creative today but i will try some...

{smeargle} @Salac Berry
Jolly-EV:Hp:(Indivisible by 4) Def:Rest Speed:Max
Own Tempo
-Nightshade
-Endeavor
-Substitute
-Spore

{shiftry} @Lum Berry or Liechi Berry
Jolly-EV:Hp(Divisible by 4) Att & Speed:Maximum you can get
Trait:Your choice(Traslation:I don't remeber :P)
-Fake out
-Brick Break
-Shadow Ball
-Explosion or Substitue

Modus operandi:
Fake out one, spore the other, then spore the other, make a sub with the
smeargle and proceed to sweep...Explosion if the according to the situation...

Counters:Vital Spirit,Insomnia,Lum Berry,Chesto Berry,fast Pokes...

Now a risky one...

{ninjask} @Liechi B.
Adamant-Ev:Hp:(Divisible by 4) Att & Speed:Maximum you can get
Trait:Speed Boost
-Aerial Ace
-Shadow Ball
-Mind Reader
-Substitute

{lapras} @Lefties
Bold-Ev:Hp & Sp.Att:Max
Trait-Your choice
-Sheer Cold
-ThunderBolt
-Ice Beam
-Surf

How do you do:

First you use mind reader with ninjask them sheer cold with lapras
(I figured out that you can use the MR or LO*' of your partner) if you are facing pokes lapras can't kill with one blow and ninjask can survive
(Like Blissey and snorlaxes i hate those guys  ...) otherwise substitute and try to face him without OHKO moves,Nijansk have liechi that
will help him sweep a little...

*':Mind Reader or Lock-On

{weezing} @Lefties or Lum Berry
Adamant or Brave-Ev:Hp:Max Att:200 Def:58
Trait:Levitate
-Sludge Bomb
-Shadow Ball or Haze
-Pain Split
-W-o-W

:-)

{aerodactyl} @Choice Band
Adamant or Jolly-Att & Speed Max
Trait:Rock Head
-Double Edge
-EarthQuake
-Ancient Power
-Aerial Ace

Strategy:
Basic,Weez burn, pain split if need and use his sludge bomb
haze if they try to set up,aero sweeps with choice band...

garabato: Your cambo of Machamp and cleffable worked well at first. However, as soon as my opponent saw what I was doing, they swapped to a pokemon that had a two-target move. The most common one was EQ. Sorry, it just didn't qualify.

-The Obsidian Wolf: Your plan was good on paper, but it was too easily countered by aerodactyles, skarmories, and flygons (there were others, but these were the main ones that owned them). Hydro pump didn't help since EV's needed to be split. Sorry, doesn't cut it.

-Saanaito: Metagross could hold up, but Gengar usually dropped after the first super effective hit. Doesn't make the cut.

-blaziken234: Your strategy has one big flaw. Electrodes dont get low in health unless they use endure. 95% of the time, they are either at full health or they're dead. Translation, electrode couldn't make its explosion worth it.

-bushin:
•Smeargle/Shiftry- You can't have two asleep in NB because too many babies only play with the sleep clause on. It sounds good, despite smeargle's slow speed, but I can't test it.

•Ninjask/Lapras- I understand why you wanted to give ninjask mind reader (props on the discovery by the way. I'll add it to the guide and give you credit). However, endurance would be better and I'm currently experimenting with tanks that can use lock-on since they only have to be one point faster than the OHKO'er.

•Aerodactyle/Weezing- Takes too long to work. All you really have here is a CBdactyle and a burning weezing.

Togetic @ Leftovers
Nature - (+ Sp. Def, - Atk)
255 Sp. Def, 123 Def, 122 HP

Follow Me
Toxic
Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower
Light Screen/Reflect/Substitute

Tyranitar @ Shell Bell
Nature - (+ Atk, - Sp. Atk)
123 Atk, 255 Sp. Def, 122 Spd

Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Rock Slide
Focus Punch

Follow Me with Togetic while T-tar pumps up it's stats with Dragon Dance or Focus Punches. Then Rock Slide/Earthquake away. Substitute before you start Follow Me-ing, and use Toxic every once and a while.

I thought of one... I hope its good...

Slaking @Leftovers

Return
Bulk Up
Slack Off
Earthquake

Xatu @ Salac Berry

Psychic
Skill Swap
Psych Up
Wish

You can use a variety of strategies with this team. You can do Earthquake and not hit Xatu. You can also Skill Swap to get rid of Truant. Then you can continue to Bulk Up with Slaking and Psychic with Xatu and then Psych Up on Slaking to make them both powerful. When Slaking is powerful he can use Return (with power 102 plus STAB) and pwn. Wish and Slack Off are to heal both of them.

I hope this is good.... I'm not good with EVs and Natures yet

Thats just another of the many variations of the skill swamp + slaking strategy. Its predictable, so you need a faster pokemon to do skill swamp (the foe will point your skill swamper) Something like gengar or alakazam works better.

I have an idea for a presure abuser combo.

{zapdos} @Leftovers
-Detect
-Substitute
-Thunderbolt
-Hp ice/grass

{aerodactyl} @Leftovers
-Protect
-Substitute
-Rock slide
-Earthquake

Both of them should have max speed and the pressure trait, alternate protect and subs, its pretty funny when the oponent is using 4 PP per move.

This is my idea for a barrier technique:

Note: I don't really care about natures. So that is why I do not post what natures they should be. To me it doesn't matter.

Barrier 1: {golem} Item held: Focus Band
Moves: Strength, Rollout, Earthquake, Explosion

Barrier 2: {gengar} Item held: Leftovers
Moves: Confuse Ray, Toxic, Curse, Shadow Punch

Barrier 3: {gyarados} Item held: Quick Claw
Moves: Attract, Thunder Wave, Swagger, Dragon Rage

The idea is Golem will use normal moves, UNLESS it seems that my outlook is bleak, then I use Explosion. Gengar won't be affected, being Explosion is a Normal type move and Gengar is a Ghost type Pokemon. He has the Focus Band in case someone is faster than him, which is most likely. I have to use Explosion in this battle regardless. It counts as a barrier. Explosion can take out a GOOD amount of damage onto enemies. I learned this at Trainer Hill. Of course, if the enemy has Ghost type or Rock and Steel, then I'm screwed. But it will still take out damage. And besides, if there are Rock and/or Steel Pokemon, there I still have Earthquake. And that can't affect Gengar, given his ability Levitate. After that, Gengar can attack with Confuse Ray, Toxic and Curse. Basically, the opponent will lose life regardless of their type or ability. One way or another, I can use something that takes away life. The Leftovers keep healing Gengar in case. The Shadow Punch comes in handy against enemies, considering not only do they keep losing life, but they keep getting pelted with punches that can't be dodged, unless you are a Normal type. If I look like I am going to lose Gengar, I can use Curse as soon as I can, so that I inflict 1/4th of the max hp from the enemy every turn. Now, at this point, I should have taken out 1 or 2 of the enemy's pokemon. At this point, Gyarados comes out. If I am lucky, I can use Attract first to immobilize the enemy with love. Then I use Thunder Wave, and then Swagger. I equip Quick Claw onto Gyarados so that I usually get the first turn, hopefully. Finally, I use Dragon Rage, which will take out 40 HP, no matter what type they are. And since they are confused, paralyzed, and attracted, the chances of them attacking me are GREATLY reduced. Keep in mind, I do know that not all of this can work successivly. But at least most or half of it can, right?

-Ryan

Ugh. I'm not even going to try to justify my hiatus.

However, I'm back. I've tested all teams and they don't cut it. Sorry.

A good double battle team that has attacks and effects complementing the other? I don't really go in for that really...I just try to overwhelm my opponent with power, but it needs a little bit more work (i.e. Toxic and a Dark type move). When my brother used to like Pokemon, we wanted to pull off this combo. We never got the chance, but I'm going to tweak it.
(To me, EVs and natures are all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo...Makes no sense...)

{groudon} @ Miracle Seed
Earthquake
Solarbeam
Eruption
Slash

{dragonite} @ Persim Berry
Wing Attack or Aerial Ace
Outrage
Hyper Beam
Ice Beam

{dragonite} would have been {rayquaza}, but I just remembered that Air Lock slows Solarbeam. Besides Rayquaza sucks.

Wide range of attack types, Slash and Wing Attack for versatile high PP moves, Dragonite guards against Earthquake, Eruption gets bonus from Drought, and Persim Berry to negate one Outrage.

You don't need to use this team, just tell me if it's ANY GOOD! (from 1 to 5 rating)

EDIT: Yeah. Pardon the language but I thought this was ---- too.

Sorcerer, no.

•Hyper beam is never used unless you are playing single battles and you have a slaking with a choice band.

•EV's are very important. The fact that both of these guys are mixed sweepers when they don't have to be will cause EV's to split

•Dragon claw is better than outrage.

•One blizzard will destroy that team.

•Mirical seed does figurtively nothing.

•If you aren't going to test it at all, why should I?

heres a cool trick i saw someone use on netbattle.

start with electrode and smeargle.

turn 1. smeargle used endure, electrode used explosion. should KO both opponents. salac berry boosts smeargles speed. send out persian.

turn 2. persian uses fake out on one of the opponents, and smeargle uses spore to make the other one go to sleep.

turn 3. smeargle uses endevour on the awake opponent, and persian uses body slam to wipe off the 1 hp.

this continues until either all the opponents pokemon are defeated on by one, or until - (1) the sleeping pokemon wakes up and puts an end to this trickery, (2) the opponent uses quick attack/mach punch on smeargle, (3) tyranitar comes out. there are probably many more ways to counter this team (including using fake out against smeargle on the first turn, switching the first couple of pokes for ghosts or normal resist such as skarmory), but heck its fun and it completely caught me by surprise!!

Wow. That's a pretty good idea. Except for the fact that the sleeping one can be switched out. I'll try thinking about some ways to get around that, though.

That's not very origional; It's basically "Obi Mode", which was a much-used strategy from the Pokémon Journey Across America. Obi, from the Smogon forums, describes his strategy here.

Edit: Yeah, I wasn't trying to blame Cuddles; I was just providing more information.

I see. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Saanaito. Although I won't hold it against Cuddles since he did say it wasn't his strategy.

Can I make one:

Shiftry@Leftovers
252SA/252SD/6HP
Mild Nature
Extrasensory
Giga Drain
Amnesia
Faint Attack

Aggron@Leftovers
252A/252D/6HP
Impish Nature
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Iron Tail
Dynamicpunch

My plan is to kill all super-effective hits. If a fighting type comes along, Extrasensory. If a fire type comes, Half of Aggron. You get the point with the rest.

I don't see your strategy working, Pokemon39. Your plan involves straight sweeping with non-first rate pokemon. I don't know if this would work in a UU double battle match, but I doubt it would work in an open match.

Alright, here's a team I use (and this one is actually good. And don't call me cheap because they're both legends; Zapdos is one of the greatest Flying types):

{kyogre} Drizzle @ Nvmeltice, Lonely (seriously, his Atk + 3 = his SpAtk.)
Thunder
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Water Spout

{zapdos} Pressure @ Leftovers, not sure of nature (has good Atk, SpAtk, and Speed. It would have been Charizard instead but I forgot Drizzle.)
Light Screen
Detect
Shock Wave
Drill Peck

Strategy:
Not much of one fixed. 1st turn, use Light Screen to cut Special Damage (replenish if needed), and use Water Spout or Earthquake to deal massive damage. Zapdos can use Detect if in danger. Other than that, just play type-matching.

Kyogre's weaknesses:
Grass - Ice Beam or Drill Peck is a quick downer.
Electric - That is what Earthquake is for. Additionally Zapdos is immune to it.

Zapdos' weaknesses:
Rock - Rock is weak to Ground or Water so there's little problem there.
Ice - Well, just pile-drive this one.

It can do great damage against most types (including Steel), but it can't protect itself from status-causers, but everyone has problems with that. Also I don't EV train so...ah whatever.
Rate and comment, please :) .

I'm not the rater, but I think that Zapdos should have Thunder instead of Shock Wave, because it has 100% accuracy with Kyogre's Drizzle, and does more damage (double the damage than Shock Wave, in fact).
