At the time, I'd say Flannery was the hardest to beat. I had no water pokemon, so I had to rely on force to take down Torkoal, making it really frustrating when she used a HP healing item on it.

for me, it was either Winona or Wallace. Winona's pokemon were all fast, and just generally annoying, since I had no real way to reliably take out all of her pokemon. And for Wallace, my team was horribly underleveled, so... yeah... Plus, I started with Torchic, so Blaziken had natural weakness to both teams...

Hardest:Flanery because for a time I had an all Grass team(killed all but Flanery)
Easiest:.......Roxanne

Definitely Norman was the hardest for me. *curses Facade*

The rest of them were fairly easy. However, I usually don't train a real team until after the elite 4. I usually give 1 Pokemon most of the exp and he turns out like 30 levels higher than the E4 Pokemon.

Your pokemon were Level 70-90? I had trouble with Cradily, the most out of the E4 (all I had was Groudon, Beautifly, Raichu and Swampert).

No, you misunderstood, only one of them was. The rest were level 30-40.

Liza and Tate are pretty easy IIRC. There are hardly any diffuclut trainers in the game. It's a bit too easy if you ask me.

I hate Norman the most without a doubt.
His pokemon can take a hell of a beating. And then he uses a:

HYPER POTION!!!

mmm, i agree with you about norman being the hardest, but because i chose {mudkip} as my starter, Flannery and Tate & Liza were the easiet to defeat, for Tate & Liza, one surf from my {swampert} was enough. btw, Tate & Liza's gym is the best!!!

They are all quite easy. The most difficult one was the one with {nosepass}. I just couldn't get it down in a normal way.

For me it was either getting to Wallace (hated his gym puzzle) or Winona because of that darned {altaria}!! Hate that poke. Otherwise they were all pretty easy.
