I think the saddest episode was Pikachu's goodbye. I was like "he cant be serious...that's the Pikachu he got at the beginning." Then Pikachu came back! :D

But something that I still cant get out ogf my head...Why is it whenever Ash gets a good Pokemon, he always wants to release it?! Like releasing Pikachu would've been stupid...Just like when he released Pidgeot! Or Butterfree! And even though he got Charizard back, he gave it to the Charific Valley people or whatever. I just think he makes some dumb descisions.

The two old episodes, when Butterfree left, and when Ash was thinking about leaving Pikachu.

Bye-Bye Butterfree was sad, so was the Pokemon4Ever (the Celebi one). I didn't cry at Pikachu's Goodbye, because I HATED that mouse. I mean, I was like "GAWSH PIHACHUU IS GONE!!! LET'S PARTIEE!!!"

OMFG, how can you cry from these stupid shows? I mean, the Pokemon Company tries to make things so touching to people, but it's just all crappy shows.

Yes, yes...Bye bye Butterfree, Pikachu's goodbye were all sad...and the First Movie part when Ash gets petrified. Yes. Indeed they were sad. Boo. But the one episode that actually made me cry (for real). Was the episode when Jessie is reunited with her friend Chansey, who is now a Blissey (verified by the fact that they completed the other's pendants). When Team Rocket, or better said, Jessie, had to leave, Blissey wanted to say a last goodbye or something like that to Jessie. Jessie couldn't stand the thought of her once good friend seeing her for what she had become- a crook, villain, etc. And she threatened to attack Blissey (her friend) :( in order to keep her away. Yes it was sad and all, but it was a long time ago.

I'd have to say either the Butterfree episode, or the episode where Misty and Brock leave (after the Johto seasons).

yeah the butterfree one was sad. i think the end of the charicific valley episode is also quiet touching, when ash is too emotional and runs away leaving charizard in the valley before he changes his mind because its for charizards own good. but the saddest of all was lion king movie when mufasa dies. my eyes fill with tears just talking about it. :(

When Ash got petrified (wasn't that in the first movie, about Mew n Mewtwo?) I was thinking, Psh, he's gonna wake up, everyone knows it, so why do they put that sort of obvious stuff in tv n stuff? Besides, I think I was also playing one of my games when I watched it.

*sniff* Bye, Bye, Butterfree...
I also cried on that episode when Misty's Togepi evolved into a Togetic and flew away.
Recently I cried when James gave Cacnea to gardenia.

I never watched/remembered to much of the series but one episode that invoked an emotional response was when Ash gave up his Charizard. Part of me though he was stupid, the other was sad to see him go because when I was little Ash & Charizards relationship made me laugh.

I've heard that Tears For Fears has a sad storyline. Pretty much because Chimchar keeps reminiscing about being back with Paul and it was very depressing for him. I've yet to watch it though so i can't say for sure. But the Butterfree episode did make me upset, and the one where Ash left Charizard. I'm just glad Charizard still loved Ash enough to keep coming to help him afterward. Still made me sad to see it

Cheers, Spitfire

Bye Bye Butterfree I guess. I haven't seen too many episodes recently though, never have seen A Poached Ego.

Butterfree found his true love! And i believe it was the introduction of shiny Pokemon into the series.

Eh, Bye Bye Butterfree hit home with me when i saw it.
Actually, I watched the first episode a couple weeks ago just for some nostalgia, and for some reason, i blocked out the entire Spearow scene, and it was practically new to me. I naturally watered up, just because i was like, "wow, Ash just got Pikachu and he already is risking his life for him?" that, and the whole feeling the scene brings. Like, you feel like you know Ash isn't gonna get away from the Spearow, the music builds up... that kinda stuff. I think it was the most emotion I've gotten from Pokemon in a while.

Also, the First Movie, not when Ash turns to stone, but when Pikachu is getting repeatedly slapped by the clone.. that drew some tears at the time.

I swear the only time i have ever cried in the last 3 years, is when I watched The First Movie. I may not be an episode, but i cry like hell when i watch it.
