Er, Ice is Water. If you can say that Ice freezes Water, it is also reasonable to say that Water (if it is warm enough), can also melt Ice. Hence, it makes more sense for Ice and Water to be completely neutral against each other.

I think dragon must have a weakness of electric. dragon types are somewhat flying so electric can deal damages on them. that's all. :wink:

Winged Dragons in the game are already part Flying, so they are no longer resistant to Electric, but are neutral to Electric attacks. That should suffice. I do agree though that Dragon types can probably get another weakness.

I think Psychics should be effective against Dragons, Dragons are like dinosaurs, small brains (Except Lati@s and Dragonite), so Psychics mind's should conquer those of Dragons...

I think Ice should get another resistance,maybe Water.Ice is such an awesome type but its resistances are so bad (only Ice)...Not to mention the countless Water/Ice types are getting really annoying and monotonous.I want to see more cool Ice types!

I don't think there should be a new type weaknesses because we have built teams that have helped us through all kinds of types...
So how slack would it be to trade your team to Pearl/Diamond to find out that your team is now all weak against ice or whatever...

The super type imortality is part of the reason we love dragons... Would you like to raise a dragon diligently to lvl 100 to find it weak to like 3 or 4 types when you can take that electric..... i mean come on next to the stats and the uberlike coolness type advantage is the only thing they give us... remember there not very effective to steel and only super effective to dragon.. theres your equalizer

Yeah,, I agree with kydon. Nintendo shouldn't change the type advantages, disadvantages, and neutralities because it would make everything screwed up and confuse everyone to the point of no return. This thread is about an evil topic, it must be stopped before it's rampage runs to a Nintendo and it's sick fantasy becomes a tainted reality, bwaaaah! :o

I Think Poison > Water makes sense, and it would bring up the usefull ness of Poison types EXPONENTIALLY.

As far as Grass > Rock, thats because tree roots break up rocks and the earth by tearing through them slowly... and painfully. If rocks could feel pain that is, and since rock types are living, they do feel pain.

Ice < Water because even in sub-zero temperatures, all Ice will ever do is freeze the surface of water. Even in the polar Ice Caps, no matter how many miles thick the Ice is there is still water underneath it.

Bug > Psychic and Bug > Dark are STILL a mystery to me, although I guess "balancing the game" covers it, and I suppose Bugs, being mindless, don't care about mind control and have no fear of the dark. Or strngth against dark comes from the idea of fireflies.

Fighting > Steel for the same reason Fighting > Rock and Fighting > Ice. Fighters like to break solid inanimate objects. Steel is a solid inanimate object. Erego, fighter breaks steel. Besides, Metagross is 00ber enough without 4X fighting resist.

So other than Poison > Water, I thik they types are fine as they are.

Grass should not be weak against poison though , cause most plants can adapt , develop and evolve certain anatomy to resist toxic just like insect do !!!!!

the four other weakness , except it alot , and poison some how should be strong vs water, so what happen if u drink poisoned water , ur dead !!!!!!!

Cause I found most water type can learn moves to counter their weakness , ICE !!!!!

But offensively , they are pretty much just like normal type , except they can piss off many trainers with poison , just close one eye and just use one poison sting , u get poisoned already . So poison type are still useful , and they can't be poison , they are only weak vs psychic and ground and strong vs fighting , bugs , grass defensively and weak vs steel , ground and rock offensively

grass effects rocks because up in the moutians the roots of trees go straight trew them to find nutrients and most big boulders split in two when this happens ......or when moss grows on rocks that also so destroys them

The technical term in Earth science for what you describe is known as plant-action.

i'd like to know, though, why ground does mega damage to electric. Ye, it's immune, i get that ground fails to conduct electrcity (network and non-polar covalent bonds in the ground), but why does ground kill electrics? glyers don't kill grounds (though they are immune).

Yes, I have wondered that too, I asume electric should have a weakness and ground is the only thing nintendo came up with.. Besides, if you use common sense, What else can actually kill energy?

Yes, actually, that does make sense, although part of the point of Steel is that it is resistant to tons of stuff. Maybe if Steel was no longer weak to Fighting, then it could be weak to Electric.
Poison definitely needs something else to be strong against. Water makes some sense (Diffusion causes poisons to act faster in water than in solids), and Water actually probably could use another weakness, they're generally pretty strong already. Another option could be Fighting, Poison and Fighting are kind of antithesis of each other. Fighting isn't in need of more weaknesses, though. Psychic could be another good option, making both of them super-effective against the other; and Psychic, despite the introduction of Dark, is still probably the most powerful type in the game. Oh, and Dragons don't need another weakness. Ice kills most dragons, as their final-evos are usually either Flying or Ground dual typed ({dragonite}, {flygon}, {altaria}, {salamence}, {rayquaza}. The exceptions are the Latis).


I'd also like to see a Ninja pokemon, that's Fighting and Poison Typed... that's off topic, though.

if u wanna talk about ancient people using steel swords and shields to defeat dragons... then apparently, u haven't noticed how all the draogn has to do is breathe fire onto the stupid shield and it melts... sry, i get very emo when people talk about killing dragons... i dislike anti-dragon people... sry

i think fighting is strong against steel cuz like, if it is powerful enough it causes a dent? perhaps? im not sure...

i think that poison should be weak to fire... cuz all those toxic gases, are highly combustable...

I agree that the Poison type needs to be brought out a little more. So far, its most common use is Toxic, otherwise there's just Sludge Bomb.
