Okay, I fixed up some problems here and there. I don't get how to shade it properly though, so I only added some colour.

The first picture, but without colour. Just for fun!

Meh. I used an extra layer and I sort of "traced" the outline onto a transparent layer. I then fixed up a few things. Looking back, I prefer the original drawing...

The Lugia one's pretty good. The only thing that bugs me is the eyes on it.. somehow I don't like that too much. Otherwise, it rocks!

Update: Well, I had a bad day today, so I made this -
The background isn't as nice as my last one, but I like the text more.

It looks great! The fonts great too, the colour of it makes it seem a little less sticky-outish which puts great emphasis on the character and background. Overall it's great!
Wow, this has the most big words I have ever had in a post.
4 big words!

I had too much free time today, so I made this:
It's just some random map. I have a deep urge to start a fan-fic soon, and I might use this map as a base.
Yeah, I know about the route at the bottom. It turned a bit weird. Sue me.

My sig on the same forum as the top-most sig. In case you don't recognise these sprites, they're the four fiends (from left to right, Lich, Marilith, Kraken and Tiamat) from Final Fantasy I.
You mean Lich, Kraken, Tiamat, and Marilith?
The way you said it wasn't in left-right order. (Just being picky =P)
One question: Where do you get your Fire Emblem sprites? I remember the Spriter's Resource had some before the site broke.
Oh, and what animation software do you use? I'm looking for one.

http://www.fe-planet.net/ has nearly all the sprites from the GBA FEs and sprite sheets from some of the older FEs. A Fire Emblem fan, I see?

I use GIMP for my art. It's "layers" feature also works for animation as well. It's free, and you don't have any 30 day trials or any of that nonsense. Best PM me if you want the links, otherwise the mods might get a bit grumpy.

1. You already asked for it in my shop.
2. Don't ask for it in fan art.
3. I can't anyway, I don't have the battle screen bakgrounds, or the font or any of that.

Wow, that one is extremely good! I like that one the most.
Maybe that's since that's one of my favorite characters from Final Fantasy...I've never played Final Fantasy, but in Kingdom Hearts 2, I think he works with you. He's pretty cool.

Here is my latest and hopefully least crappy sig ever.
I revised the sig five times, not counting the multiple tweaks I made to the background and a couple of failed extra layers.
A Psybuck for anyone who can tell me who the guy on the front is! </joke>
Edit: On the advice of a friend, here's the sixth edit!
Edit II: Version 5, with higher contrast.
Edit III: God, I'm hyper. I made the sig new from scratch.
I patched up the render and the background a little, and added some nice touches.

It takes a LOT of patience, keen eye and luck. Try messing about with the brush settings, and use "Colourize" to make the colour do that sort of weird stuff. Oh, and Opacity can make a world of difference.
I've spent months just to get to this point, and I think you got there a while back.

Yeah, probably... what program do you use to make these things?
The brush stuff is probably different depending on your program...
EDIT: I tried doing what you said... I never knew there were so many types of brushes! Actually, I knew, I just didn't know how to access them. Check out my sig; I made that right after I read your post.

Me likes it! Maybe the background could have a little more pattern, but that's just me.
I use GIMP, and I swear to this day that it's as good as Photoshop.

Ah, but is it as good as Photoshop CS2?
Na, those sigs are still sweet. Good luck!

Another sig, based on the same background as my "Kroot_Lord" sig.
Really, my first foray into advanced fonts.

I remember what dragonite told me a while back, and I've tried mixing glows.
The Result:
I suppose this is worthy as well:
To date, this is the most worked-on sprite in my collection. I started it last night, and finished it a few hours ago. I've used multiple parts and colours from at least five trainer sprites, with a few edits here and there. The base actually started as Wallace. I'm rather proud of this little guy!
