I know that this isn't going to be in D&P, but wouldn't it be cool if you could somewhat create your own character? Like, shoose the backpack or the hat or the shirt and/or outfit. mabye the color hair? Even race? I think that would be totally cool.

And make make this topic more lively how about telling us what you'd make your character look like (to a certain degree cuz not everyone can have a great TS like the one's groudon king, rubypoke, amphy, etc can make.)


I'll start:

I'd have a white Male, with a green hat like on FRLG but the outfit on Emrald.

I'd have a regular backpack

I'd have what hair would show be green.

I can't really say the stance but I don't think it would be THAT important.

As in, like another popular rpg called The Sims? Yeah. And, it would help when going thru w/ the battles. You'd be able to tell who you were battling.

He would mainly look like the guy in my avatar but he would have a stance like wally in R/S/E with a pokeball in his hand

I'd like something pretty similar to the leafgreen girl trainer ^^ I love her hat! I'd probably change the clothes a little, I'd like to put one of the pokebreeders apron's on her, but make it white with the matching red trim of the hat ^^

Having custom trainers would be nice. I think almost everyone would enjoy having custom trainers + you would be more unique than looking like everyone else that has the game.

i would use the female trainer from crystel(that was my favorite pokemon game until i lost it on vacaition in newyork)

All i wanted to ever be was Gary. Ohh well. It would be a cool feture because you could go to marts like clothes marts and buy som cool stuff!

Yeah. I bet it would be cool if you picked being like a dragon or cooltrainer. And you could also buy clothes in the stores, like mentioned before.

how would that work? so you implying that you beat the game and then go on the sidequest to change your image and in the end, you look different than before? how would that work? you cant become another charater in the middle of the game (though the idea of custom trainers appeals to me).

It'd be really cool since u would look really "different" to everyone else, not lika a clone of everyone else who has the game

it would also be nice to choose a destiny like in fabel weather or not you are evil or good, gym or elite so on and so forth

Custom trainers would be a great idea. I would probably use the male from Red, leaving out the old graphics, and maybe change his hat a bit. I would be very happy if they did this but I would be also be happy if they just did different trainers to choose from. It would also be cool if you could have preset trainers and custon trainers to choose from.

I would have long, black hair, male white, and one wing. Instead of items, I would have some pokemon on my belt, all in ultra balls, or luxury balls. My pokemon would know which moves to use and what to do by listening to my sitar, similar to demyx's. Id have a cloak like all the organization members and my face would never be revealed. I wouldnt need items, and would have boots and gloves. The one wing that I had would resemble sephiroths. I would be evil and use my pokemon to take over the world! anyone who battled me and lost would lose thier heart, soul, mind, and memories to become my slave. as for my pokemon, Id use the pokemon that I stole from my slaves. As for my starter, Im thinking either sneasel or houndour. The only place that would still be safe is underwater, ubtil I get a slave that could swim and let them use my sharpedo(wich I had captured of course). After achieving world domination in my game,I would battle people in the underground, wagering the pokemon we use. Also, Id know Fly, Flash, Rock smash, and strength. And could hold one Item in my hand. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Dude thats friggin crazY! my dad went to newyork, and he got me a pikachu doll (i dont know why he got it), and found a Crystal version in the metro (or a train i cant remember)

Considering the makers would most likely not go into lots of work to make great customizing of characters, I think they should at least consider an idea like this:

First, when you start the game, you have the basic sprite of the hero or heroine. As you progress through the game, you can unlock the sprites of other characters you have battled (such as a bugcatcher, or magma grunt). Once unlocked, you could go to the main department store in the region (like the one in Celadon) to buy the "clothes" of the unlocked characters. Your basic character would then be wearing the clothes, at least, during battles, and possible even on the world map. And to make it more challenging, the clothes would be expensive (maybe 20,000 for a bugcatcher sprite, and 100,000 for a magma grunt). And to make it more enjoyable, after completing the Elite Four, you could maybe even unlock the hero/heroine sprites from previous games, though they'd cost even more.

So, what do you think about this idea? It doesn't add a whole lot of freedom to customizing, as you can only get a specific set of clothes, but at least it's better than the same boring hero/heroine, right?
