I realize that there are some pokemon in RBY that must be traded to evolve. So if I cancel the evolution the first time, will it work again a second or third time?

the reason i asked is b/c gengars get hit by gound-moves like earthquake, but i was hoping it wouldn't hit haunter.

Just trade them again and they should evolve.

However, why would you want to do that? You don't lose anything by letting them evolve. In fact, you gain better stats and all so it's better not to cancel the evolution.

I am not sure about RBY but I do know that you can't stop trade evolutions on the newer Pokemon games

Well, in red version, the levitate ability had not been made of course, and all 3 of them-gastly, haunter, and gengar are hit by ground(stupid, yes, Do I complain, NO!! This made E4 a breze) But yes, once cancelled, just like with a regular evolution, it will happen every time the conditions are met.

Kingler has spoken.

Why is this thread still alive? I don't care if you revive older threads in Kanto, but please, make an intelligent reply. -_-
