Ugh. Chansey was a HEADACHE. The worst of all is Kangaskan though. I faced it about FOUR TIMES and it still hasn't been caught. Tauros was easy by comparison. I'm not counting the dogs, because I've never seen them.

Lucky for me, I caught a Chansey with a lucky egg (!) first go, but I'm having a lot of trouble with Kangaskhan, and, weirdly, Venomoth!

Hardest for me wasn't Chansey, it was actually fairly common on my game, and Suicune popped up whilst I was walking up from Pallet to Viridian (I had just beaten the Elite Four and didn't have a Flying type so I had to walk,)
Hardest for me was probably Snorlax! I know, I know, but every time I paralyzed it it would rest on me and my Pokemon couldn't get it down to the red zone before it woke up again! So I killed it and went and got the other one...
Sorry, I made it faint, there is no killing in Pokemon,

Chansey has to be the hardest to catch. I think Mewtwo was actually easy, I caought him on my 3rd ball (not a master ball). I never caought a chansey...and i really want one

i have given up trying to catch a chancy; i just trade and breed from XD with anything i can't be bothered to catch:
a) coz i'm lazy
b)i try to keep my hour down until i get to 200 coz then its kinda pointless...

-I got Tauros, Chancey, Scyther, Dratini, and Kangaskan in one runthrough of the Safari zone. O: But pokemon with Insomnia or Vital Spirit (Murkrow mostly) and Skarmory give me much grief, I still haven't gotten a Porygon either.

chasey's r easy to catch: throw one safari ball and hold "b" and voila a new chasey. Same with the rest of the Safari Zone pokes. I think the hardest is a larvitar (4 me any way)

I don't think it comes down to Chansey being an "easy" catch. Some gamers are merely luckier than others, I used to believe in the holding buttons theory but that's been proven useless for over 7 years now (maybe longer). My hardest capture was definitely Chansey, I swear I spent over 2 hours of continuous trials to catch that Pink horror but perserverance is the true key to catching any rare pokemon

I know, but doesn't it make you feel good when you're "method of holding buttons" actually works on something as annoying as a Regice or something?

Chansey i find when im not even looking for it. Tauros, Kangaskan, and Pinsir are hard. But i did catch a Kangaskan on a previous game and i used it in my party. I caught a Syther once. Never seen a Pinsir, and Taruos always run away.

This gonna sound weird and possibly out-of-place but does anyone acctually know the catch rate on the Psydex means?

I find that Kangaskhan isn't that difficult to catch with the help of a few rocks. But attempting to catch Tauros and Chansey gives me nightmares.....
The legendary beasts are really frustrating because the chances of you actually finding one are very slim! Then there's that whole matter of chasing them down, especially when you decided to use your Master Ball on Mewtwo(D'oh!). I've yet to run into Raikou on my Leaf Green, despite the fact that i'm EV training like a maniac.

Dratini in the Safari Zone everytime you throw a ball it just
gets away then flees plus youll have to keep fishing to se it again

I filledmy pokedex within the first month that I played. Maybe I'm gettng a bit old for this...nah! For me the hardest thing to catch was that stupid deoxys! it wasnt the actual battling it or the catching but getting that code for it! geez!

Chansey is definately the hardest to catch and to meet. Tauros earns second hardest in the game. Kanghaskan is so easy I've caught like 20.

Lapras is so easy. Before you battle Giovanni for the second time the guy from silph co gives it to you. If you're not satisfied with it then just breed it. For the legendary dogs just walk anywhere and it'll come out eventually.

I think Gnaaye meant actually running into one in Icefall Cave...
Anyway, I think that either Raikou or Entei are the most difficult to catch. Not encounter, catch. You have your Wobbuffet, go you. Good luck with Roar, and never being able to encounter it again without a reset. Suicune doesn't have Roar, so that's why I didn't put it.
