Groudon? I know legendary but if you think about it he's pne of your best choices. There's not many good Ground Pokemon...(on Ruby and Sapphire). Do you trade with FR/Lg? I could help you then.

Some non-Ground Pokemon can learn Earthquake as well, so you may not need a Ground type after all. One example is Aggron. It may be a Steel/Rock Pokemon, but with Iron Tail, Rock Slide, Earthquake and Double-Edge/Return/Aerial Ace/Brick Break, it is an excellent physical sweeper.

But if you want Ground types, you can try Swampert, Flygon, or Camerupt. Go to the Standard Movesets Guide for their sets. Here's the link: http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~psypoke/fo ... 91&start=0

Hope this is helpful.

There are not that many ground pokemon on RSE (that i have encountered so far) but i would reccommend someone from the Whiscash or Flygon family.

There are tons of pokes out there that are good for the job whiscash , geodude , and groundon . Also there ate some pokes that can learn most ground moves buy they are not a ground type. Aggron for example is great . So is most pokes that can learn earthquake but if your looking for a pure ground type you really can't unless you catch groundon or trade cause all of the other ground pokes are part something

IU prefer to Use Graveler or Whiscash...

whiscash and geodude are also found fairly early in the game, 3rd gym or so.
