i was thinking

in the knew diamond and pearl games there will be many knew pokemon with older ones to catch aswell the older ones so-far are butterfree, geodude,scizor,(pikachu)thought i saw one,snorlax (munchax evo), wooper

but there has been four generations so far they are
1.red,blue,green,yellow
2.gold,silver,crystal
3.fire red and leaf green
4.ruby,saphire,emerald

but there are a few pokemon that are from the origional first generation that are popular and are catchable in all the games so far they are pikachu,geodude,i think butterfree not sure and there are most probalby many more if u can think of any post them

my question is what other first gen pokes are staying all the way throught all gens into d/p your thoughts on guessing ?

I think that they'll definitly keep Pikachu (**gives an angry look**). It's been eleven years and we still can't get rid of that little yellow pest...

Zubat should still be there, I mean there have been Zubats abundant in every game so far, so why stop now? It's obviously a popular Pokemon if they've left it in every game all these years.

And finally, they have GOT to keep the Magikarp family in there. Gyarados dominates, and Nintendo knows it, so I don't think they'll be getting rid of Magikarp any time soon.

Well, for a start I'm not very happy the way things are going. They include Pikachu in EVERY game. Yes, it's the most famous Pokemon around, but I'm tired of seeing it's face. I really think it'd be good for Eevee to replace it. (In the wild)

Anyway, on topic:

Known Pokemon: Scyther, Scizor, Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu, Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Mime Jr, Mr. Mime, Bonly, Sudowoodo, Sneasel, Weavile, Wooper, Quagsire, Psyduck, Golduck, Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Snorlax, Munchlax, Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Manafi (Or whatever), And other new stuff.

I'm really hoping that they'll include Dratini, Gastly, Growlithe, Ralts, Feebas, and a few others... Meh.

Don't be Pika-haters! Also, in elation to the first post, Butterfree did not appear in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. I hope Tropius appears also. It was one of my favorite Pokemon, even though I don't know what it is-some dino-plant thing with wings. Of course, even if a Pokemon from a past generation isn't in it, Nintendo has confirmed you will be able to bring Pokemon from the GBA games into Diamond and Pearl.

I heard that trade in the DS games, D/P, is possible in the Advance games, R/S/FR/LG. So you could trade pokemon in a similar fashion as R/B/Y to G/S/C, where this time All pokemon from the Advance games could go to the DS games and only the older pokemon with the older moves in the DS games could go to the Advance games. If the question means as you play through without trade, then most have been said already, but Mantine will be there since it has a baby form.

You will be able to get all the pokemon anyway by trading with the gba games.

They will obviously keep some hoenn pokemon in the D&P games aswell.

I hope they keep pikachu and lapras though..they're my favorites. If they didn't have something related to that, I'd freak out..

do you guys think ditto should have an evoloution like morph or something and when it uses transform against a pokemon instead of turning into that pokemon it will turn into its evoloution form like

morph vs pikachu
morph uses super transform
it turns into raichu i like that idea
