Alright, you might find this a bit objectionable, but here goes.

Why is it when a Black person makes any claim of racism what-so-ever, the world stops for them? There are no episodes shown here because, Jynx is considered a African stereotype.

Meanwhile it's perfectly fine to stereotype gays, the overweight, women...oooh but no, not a Black person. We just can't have that! I'm sorry if you find this racist, but you know what...it's nobody's fault that the African-American community continues to make fools of themselves, but the African American community.

Rap videos ok, objectification of women as sex objects by rappers, ok, glorified violence by rappers, ok. It's not ok. Why don't we just hand the country over to the Blacks, because God only knows our grandpappys done did make them be slaves, and we shall forever have to pay for their sins.

I'm Jewish, and you don't see me blaming the Germans for everything that goes wrong in my life. The Black people should start working on educating themselves, and advancing as a group. Not sit back on their heels, waiting for another "The white man done did it again!" to complain about.

Rappers in the videos are usually putting on a show if you haven't figured it out yet. Not all blacks act like that, I'm disgusted by this. I have upmost respect for black people, and know many that are good people and don't wait around for "white man done it again."

I agree with you that it is stupid that blacks get treated better with some things (i.e Bryant, Simpson), I think Everyone should be treated the same, isn't that what Martin Luther King Jr. wanted?

I also think it's stupid that athletes and celebrities get away with things just because they're famous.

I'm annoyed that instructions for things around here come in Spanish and English. What about every other language? What about the French people? The Scottish? Nope only spanish.

Sometimes when I go with my family to a restuarant (Like McDonalds or BK), You can't even understand the person working there (speaking in Spanish) and there is a Law to learn and speak English in America, but nope they get away without learning it.

And I have absolutely
nothing against the Spanish and Blacks, I have Family and Friends that are Spanish and Black.

And Personally I hate alot of the artists nowadays, they are just so bad and sleazey!

Because in this world and time, everyone and everything must be politically correct and not offend anyone. Hence why my high school made the front page of the Times a few days ago on this exact issue - racism. The whole thing is messed up to many degrees - such as I know some black people who have said racists remarks and claimed that because they're a minority they can't be racist. Which is about as stupid as anything.

But hey, you gotta remember this is a 4Kids dubbing job. Check the Anime page on the website. You can see that many things are censored because they don't want 7 year olds to realise some things when the show should be for a higher age group audience because it ain't for 7 year olds in Japan. Then again, you have to take account for the cultural differences between Japan and the USA.

Racisim is a touchy subject, its all fun and games till some one gets offended. I am not sure exactly pulled jynx out of the US series and for exactly what reason. But no group wants to be stereo typed and the way Jynx is animated it looks a little to close to a certain african american stereo types.

Me personally i wouldn't care, Im just too desensatize (sp). But i do understand were there are coming from, it would be a step backwards in all the advances they made.

Well the world is getting anal about everything. But I do agree with vileplume. I'm a politicican in-training and I have built an opinion on the same thing. Why isn't there a White Month? No there's a month for blacks. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICANS. But I mean come on, white people have been through a lot too. Every time a "black" points a finger at something, people jump on it like hounds. But when a "non-black" does, nothing happens.

Society is out of control. This isn't what God expected. But now, it's gotten so out of conrol, we can't do anything.

truestar that replie was boarding the insenstive boarder line.

Not to get into a racial fight or anything so i'll stay as impartial as possible. But minority doesnt have it as easy as the majority and there as been countless experiments that prove it. There was once on (one of the ABC special either dateline, nightline) were they wired two male's with a mic and followed them from a distance with camera's one was a white male (I forget from which decent) and an african american male from chicago and put them in St louise, MI for a week. And they did the same activities.

First it was to respond to an add in the paper for an apartment for rent. First the black male goes in and the landlord says the room was taking earlier that afternoon. Then about 15 minutes later the white male goes in and for some reason the room is availble and they show it to him.

then next activity was going to a used car lot, First the Black male wonder around the lot for more then half an hour before being served. Then the white male went on the lot and was attended to in the first 5 minutes of wondering on the lot. The black male was shown the under 3k cars, while the white male was shown cars under 10k.

next was a music store, black male first almost an hour before anyone asked him for help even though there were sales people closed by keeping there eye's on him, while the white male was there at the same time was asked if he needed help within the 5 minutes.

You can see the pattern, the individuals werent poor or rich people. The both worked in the same company in the same position making the same salery. both has similar educations.

That is one reason why it may seem that minority might have more influencail power. But you have to ask your self a question, Who was the last Black/African American President? (In the US consitution [Article II, section 1] it states the only requirements is to be atleast 35 years of age, born in the USA and live at least 14 of those years here in the US) BTW were up to president 43.

a side note, I am not Black/African American but I'm still a minority.

I was chastised today for using the word "Mexican," even though the man I was describing was Mexican and used the word to describe himself. Most of the racial "problems" we have today are just left-wing loudmouths trying to make everything politically correct. I think that when the artists designed Jynx, they were trying to make it look as ridiculous as possible and any resemblance to this "Little Black Sambo" is purely coincidencial.

Besides, Jynx is the most kickbutt Pokemon there is. :P

MOD NOTE: We're standing by to delete this should anything get out of hand . . . watch your words!

I agree with alot fo what people have been saying here, I live with every race there is. Around where I come from its a Racism showdown. Whites and Blacks should be treated as equals, but face it, its never going to happen becuase its to much work for the government and the rest of the sorry lazy ass's. I want to know why my uncle wasent on tv for his court case but kobe Bryant was? Why is 50 cent so popular when he has tons of speech problems. Im also tired of people saying you need an education to make it in this world, when 80% of artists are sorry ass's that dont know anytrhing. Example: Kobe has millons but still goes out and uses his power on some women.
Back to the black community, If we had a White Entertainment Telivison (WET) we would be the most racist people ever. I am far from racist, but Im also far from being scared of telling the truth and if you dont like it then that to bad. Its ok to stick up for your race and yes there is alot of racist people out there but we need to unite as one. We arent going to make it through life screaming G-Unit and and calling blacks N(^(&*^.
If we all came together as one, we would have a greater country.
I was wondering if god likes the way the world is? he put us all here for a reason and we havent figured it out yet from what I can see, Im going to close my case and say: People are Stupid.

Im going to dissagree with Cross, brought up good examples but when you started making comparisons they were just all wrong.

There is no need for a 'WET' becuase just about every other channel is 'WET', BET was just another advance for the Black comunity back when MTV was only playing music that wasnt too apealing to the black comunity.

Kobe Bryantt's court case would be on TV alot because he's a celebrity (maybe one of the only signs of intergration) and his case was a scandel. But before some one says its only 'black people' legal issues in the news there was Martha Stewart recently and the Enron issue.

The 50 cent issue might be a little harder to explain. There was a whole back story that went with the release of his albulm. There was an incendent between 50cent and 'crew' with that of another Rapper Ja Rule and 'crew' at a club, something happen that started a fight 50cent ended up taking Ja Rule's chain and being stabbed, and someone from Ja Rule's crew was stabbed to. The member of Ja Rule's crew that was stab thought it was 50cent so later on 50cent was gunned down. So people are buying his records listing to everyword he says, ready what hes going to say next about the Issue.

Im not bashing you completly just pointing out the flaws in your argument. In short it was like comparing Apples to Bananas.

Well hey dark every man has his opinion. I like comparing apples to bananas. I wasent really just picking on kobe neither. I see what your saying but I still disagree with the whole BET thing. Yes, we do have alot of channels poring with white people, but tell me the truth, what would happen if we called one of the channels ummmmm White people Tv, or something corny like that? (also, I never said its only black people, and I know the whole ordeal about 50 cent and Ja Rule, used to be fans of both)

Not bashing you neither, Just sating my opinion. Ethier way we both are right in are own way.

By the way, Does the topic really have something to do with pokemon? lol

I understand but the main thing is there isn't the need for a 'White Man TV' channel and if there was one the black community would probably want it shut down becuase it might spread the 'White Power' message (dont want to get into that).

I wasn't say 'YOU' were wrong just your examples which had an unfair edge.

And yes the topic has strayed pretty far from Pokemon and Jynx.

I'd keep the topic going. Not many 'younger' people are brave to voice their opinions. This way, we're all heard. Well sort of.

dont know bout all of u but i live in the united states, a country where the race card is a political weapon and a black criminal can get his way in court by accusing a white cop of "profiling" him despite the fact that he was possessing illegal firearms and narcotics, and was caught on tape attempting to attack the police officer in the genitals while being arrested. i personally have nothing against african-americans in the country and know many friendly people who are black, but the way people like al sharpton and jesse jackson are playing it, u'd think that slavery was still legal in the states. the fact is that racial discrimination exists but not to the extent that the modern ACLU and NAACP are playing it up to be. these so called "civil rights" organizations WANT the black man to stay perpetually in the low class so that they can use his poverty as a springboard for political agendas. im also against this notion of affirmative action or reparations for any single racial group. if u do well on a test, u get into a good college. its a capitalist system: if the majority of the population accepts that, why do blacks have to get extra points or leniency in their favor? im asian and im a bit pissed when the political figureheads up in their mighty high podiums talk down to us like african-americans are the only minorities in this country. i dunno about u but ive seen plenty a good number of asians gettin beat up on the side walk or on the end of negatively preferential treatment just because there is a stereotype around that asians have weak self-esteems and cant defend themselves unless they know kungfu. i dont want reparations for the trans-continental railroad days when asians were oppressed in the united states and put in work camps. i just want equal treatment of asians, blacks, whites, watever. the loony left in the united states pretend like they want to be "colorblind" but right now, all they seem to be seeing are black and white.

EDIT: maybe this is a roundabout way of saying this, but jynx shoud not have been banned in the states just b/c it might have portrayed an african facial. theres plenty of stuff on tv that stereotypes the asian (short, flat, and no eyes) and u dont see the government bureaucrats doing all they can to censor that. give equal treatment to all and cut the government from the media as much as possible.

Ah! The "white cop beat me up" is so old, yet they still get away with it. Can we just treat each other the same?

Can't we all just get along?

Everyone is the same but different. It's the one thing we have in common. Mewtwo made the mistake of prejudice once but saw the error of his ways. He accepted everyone as equals and we should to. Pok

This is a really complex discussion! Anywways, two things,

A. Wouldn't this be better suited in the Anime discussion? I was trying to find this again and I looked their for a while, then looked here.

B. I'd never heard of Little Black Sambo, I'll look it up later

Now my opinion,

Well, I am not racist, stereotypes are all around me, I'm canadian and for some reason a lot of people think I'm gay. After that you basicly build an immunity, both ways. But I know a few african americans, and most of'em are not nearly stereotypical african americans, but they are offended (of course) by racial images against them, especially by any white people, but when they are offended like that, everyone helps to take it down, but when their are racial images of white people, and I am offended, everyone just says I'm whining. But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying black people have got it easy, and I think it is right that we should be paying (to a small extent) for what our ancestors did. And about that white month, the majority's never gonna get enough attention to start something like that.

It is almost disturbing that their has been extreme racism with us for ages, and that they're still is today. It is even worse that only in the '40s theyr'e was extreme racism, right now I'm ready a Jackie Robinson biography and it is just sad that in over a hundred years since the civil war, we still have racists. And they are not just racist, but extreme racist, and, a lot of the time they even teach their children that whit epeople are perfect and that black people (including mexicans and asians and all the other miniorities here) are inferior, just plain sad.
