i always level really high on pokemon that give poop experience, e.g. on the route outside mt.moon, i got a pikachu to level 26 on the birds

it's not just on pokemon, it's on every game you can level up on
i'm just wondering if i'm the only one who does this...

I'm semi-impatient too. Usually I level up my Pokemon before each gym to a decent level, which is about 5 levels below those of the Pokemon of the Gym Leader. Other than that I do not train in other parts of the game.

I'm hardcore. I'll spend all afternoon leveling up and getting the right EVs on a Spinda. :P

Will someone PLEASE tell me what an EV is? (And don't make any jokes about Eevee, like someone did before).

I'm semi-hardcore. I like training my pokemon to a really good level. I don't worry about EV's, but I tend to want to be at least 5 levels above the gym leader I'm about to challenge. The funny thing is that when ever I battle the E4 I'm always 5-10 levels below them.

i try to keep all my pokemon the same level, but when you get about 60% of the game done, you need to level about 40+ pokemon to the same level, and seeing that many pokemon to level really does dampen my spirit...
i usually end up having one main team, usually about 20-30 levels higher than the rest of my pokemon.

I've been switching around pokemon all the time so I don't get a chance to catch up to the levels of some of the gym leaders. I still own them though easy enough.

I'd say i'm a planner leveller (yes, my own creation), I plan to level whatever pokemon I have to a certain amount depending on which Tech I want them to learn or evolve.

What I do is level up a lot in the early gyms, and the rest just comes.

I tend to be horribly overleveled for the first half or so of the game, but by the end with the later gyms/dungeons and Elite 4, I'm a bit low in levels.

I always battle every trainer, and I battle wild Pokemon when I need to level up mine. I usually pick 6 pokemon I casually catch through my journey, and train them up to high levels. The others I just catch and evolve them for the Pokedex entry. So they're - lets say - about 50-70 levels higher than my boxed Pokemon. :)
