1. Actually the chance of someone getting a shiny pkmn is 1 in 8734 or somethin not 1,000,000

Again, there is a thread that answers this. The chance of getting a shiny starter is the exact same chance of finding a shiny in the wild.

The other day I started over Gold. I started out with a shiny totadile without using a cheat device. I asked someone about it and they said there is a one and a million chance to get a shiny starter

A friend of mine started with a shiny Cyndaquil the first time he ever played his Gold. Thought it was completely normal that his starter went all bling on him when he sent it out.
