Hey people! Um, I have played through Sapphire many-a-times but when I came to the E4, it always took me a while. I usually did it in the end but I`d like to do it without all the bother in between in my Emerald game.

Is there any tips that people can give me to do it quickly and (quite) easily. I know they`re not pushovers. :D

Oh, yeah my team is - {starmie} {ludicolo} {shiftry} {grumpig} {altaria} {sableye}

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Quickly? No. Easily? Yes. Train up your team until at least on par level-wise with the E4, although everybody even higher is even better. Proceed to whup up.

I'm not a rater, and I'm not very good at this kind of stuff, but where is your starter? I'd get rid of Salbeye or whatever, and replace it with your starter. When I fought the E4, my starter was always my most powerful pokemon, and the one to fight Steven.

Also, just train your pokemon. If they're all level 30-40, maybe even 50, they probably won't win. You need to put some time into them.

Pretty good team. If you chose Blaziken as your starter, replace Sableye with it (Sidney). Thats my suggestion, if not, if you really wanna go with 'Quaza. It wont be very fun just killing them off, though.

EDIT: Dang, I thought you were saying you played Emerald. Scratch the Rayquaza thing, please. ^-^

Go battle a lot of trainers to level up your pokemon.

Replace Sableye with your starter.

Buy lots of Revive and Full Restores and Full Heals with the money you got from battling trainers.

If your pokemon can beat the first two Elite Four battle them over and over to raise them faster.

Indeed replace Sableye with your starter, I must say the starters are very useful. Fufufu.

Hmm your team types (if you didnt have Sableye and instead had Blaziken) would be like this:
Water
Grass/Water
Grass
Psychic/Normal
Dragon
Fire

Bleh Ludicolo is not recommended I say, useful sometimes but you have another grass/water pokemon, use an electric type. Replace it Raichu or Manetric whatever. :D

Have a nice day.

I agree with Rubypoke. Here's my type recomendations:
Sidney: Fighting would do great, but something with strong bug-type moves would do just as well-two of his Pokemon can knock a Figher out, easily.

Phoebe: Meh. A good Dark-type would do nicely here.

Glacia: Fighting, Fire, and Electric would do wonders. As so many people said, a Blaziken would kick Glacia out of the way, easy.

Drake: I hate this guy. Dragons would do HORRIBLE against this guy, even though Dragon's weak to itself. The good idea is a powerful Ice-type, especially vs Flygon.

Steven: I haven't beaten Sapphire yet, but if he's got basically the same Poke's as Emerald you should get a good Fire, Fighting, or Ground type to smash this guy.

Your team is good as-is, but here's something I recommend (moves not included):
{blaziken}
{manectric} (or another good Electric type)
{glalie} or {walrein}
{aggron} w/Earthquake or another good Ground type
Possibly {shedinja} with a powerful Bug-type move
{absol} or another Dark-type (or something that learns Crunch)

Heres the best idea. If you still have the master ball and the mach bike, go to the Sky Pillar and use the Mach bike to go through the cracks in the floor. When you reach the top, you will find Rayquaza. Press A in front of it so you can battle it. Then on the first turn, just use your Master Ball. Its at LV.70, so its strong enough to beat the E4. And it already knows fly so fly back to Ever Grande City and challenge the E4 with rayquaza.

Hes playing Sapphire, not Emerald. You can't get Rayquaza before the E4, can you? Also, you don't need a masterball to catch Rayquaza. :roll: Hes not IMPOSSIBLE to catch with an Ultraball. Save your masterball for Latias.

If you cared to read the first post, instead of walking around pretending to know everything because you are teh pokemon masteh, you would have noticed that sneasel is playing Sapphire. Only in Emerald can you catch Rayquaza before the Elite Four; in Ruby & Sapphire, you cannot get to Sky Pillar before that. Maintenant, casse-toi !

I agree with Krisp. My starter always comes through for me, so get rid of Sableye for your starter. If you're still weak, use Kyogre; I beat the E4 with an untrained Kyogre, so give it a shot. :)

Oh, by the way he said that I assumed he was playing Emerald, too. Dang. >_>
In that case, go with Kyogre/Kingdra. If you dont wanna use an 00ber and dont have Kingdra, maybe something like Lanturn or Wailord would help.....

You would need your starter to help you. My starter helped me a lot when challenging the Elite 4. Kick one of your pokemon out and replace it with your starter pokemon. A {blaziken} would help you a lot or maybe a {swampert} . {sableye} should do well against Phoebe. A {blaziken} can defeat Sidney easily. Your {ludicolo} should be a drainer. If your starter is {swampert} , it should be no problem defeating the Elite4. Use Ice Beam, (If you have it on your Swampert) and you will defeat Drake easily. for Glacia, Use your {ludicolo} to kill the {sealeo}s and {walrein} . For the {glalie} s , use a pokemon with a fighting move. Lastly train your pokemon to level 60+.
Hope this helps.

Actually I did it using only my starter. {blaziken} it was. Anyway my tips are to change your team to something more diverse (unless you really don't have anyone else strong enough). And don't be stingy on items.

Thanks for the tips, guys! Um, would my Blaziken really be THAT useful? I wuff my Sableye :cry: If so, I`ll get the Blaziken out for it.

But I really do wuff Sableye......... He`s helped me through the game and is the longest-serving member of my current team. But if it`s what I have to do, I`ll do it.

I don`t really like Blaziken - far too overrated and EVERYONE almost uses it and I hate pkmn like that.

My Ludicolo is my Ice Beam-er and Water pkmn, with Shiftry as my drainer (more oober sp. attack :P) Starmie is my Thunderbolt-er because of its oober sp. attack too. And plus, Hoenn`s electric types suck in my opinion. *dreams of Ampharos which I will be able to get after E4 by getting Mareep in Safari Zone extension* *dreams of Electabuzz and Zapdos.....*
And Grumpig is my Psychicer/Staller with Calm Mind and Double Team.

Oh yeah, I am playing Emerald. I said I`d played through Sapp. many times and I want tips for Emerald. Sorry if it wasn`t clear. :?

Okay, I`ll go level up.

I wouldn't say kick out the Sabeleye, i say kick out the grumpig as sabeleye can beat Phoebe, You don't really need psychic against the E4 but does come in handy in parts of the game. It doesn't have to be a permanent swap either but i would say you need Blaziken for sidney

So i would say swap {grumpig} for {blaziken}

That would make sense to change {grumpig} because its sp. attack is 86 give or take and my starmie`s is like 110 give or take, so I wouldn`t need it. Starmie also has th.bolt and surf and uses psychic as well :mrgreen:

Okay then, so the equation is.....

TEAM - {grumpig} then TEAM + {blaziken}

{blaziken}=Goodbye Sidney
x {sableye}+{starmie}=Kicked-in-the-ass Phoebe
then add {starmie},{blaziken} to give Buh-bye Glacia
multiply by {ludicolo}+Ice Beam and {starmie}+th.bolt = K.O`d Drake

Top it of with {starmie}+th.bolt and {shiftry}+Giga Drain = E4 champ!!!

:mrgreen: Anymore tips?
Thanks for the previous ones!!

you should atleast train your Pokemon' proper evs.. I know some do it after winning from the E4, but it's a good preparation though. E4 is not that hard to defeat, just have ice moves for drake and fire moves for steven and your'e all set up. and your Pokemon should be atleast level 68-75, that is to have 1 hit wins, you dont wanna waste your pps.

for dark, use fighting and flying
for ghost, use dark
for ice, use fighting and electric
for dragon, use rock and ice
for steven, use water and fighting, steel too
for water (emerald) electric and grass are good
