Their songs are rather catchy, and the lyrics for some of the songs like Where Is the Love are rather meaningful. I like them

Surprisingly for someone like myself that leans more towards older music, plus isn't a big fan of pop, I actually quite like The Black Eyed Peas. Their songs have good beats and are very catchy, and while their lyrics aren't entirely meaningful ("No no no no, don't phunk with my heart"?), except for 'Where is the Love?', it doesn't really matter because you can tell that they take their music very lightly, and in a fun way. I also know for a fact that they use real instruments, which is rare in modern pop, which usually uses electronically created sounds. They also have a very unique and interesting style, of combining a sort of hip-hop-lite, R&B, with catchy, poppy tunes and beats. They are definitely one of the best pop acts working today, light years ahead of the usual slush like Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Jessica/Ashlee Simpson, Kelly Clarkson, etc. I also personally enjoy their snappy tunes and fun beats.

It's their not there. (Sry, still no idea how to quote)
MonkeyBusiness is basically a playful album, for name's sake. Their songs are ok, i particularly like "Don't Lie".

Well to me, Elephunk was more like the issue album with songs like "where is the love".
"MonkeyBusiness" on the other hand with songs like "hey mama", "don't phunk with my heart" and with the name MONKEY sounded more playful to me.

Well one of the reasons Elephunk would be less playful is becuase that was there first album for one and since the album came out when the Iraq war started and about a year after 9/11 that is most likely the reason that it is less playful. Still a name Elephunk still sounds playful to me.

Well, Latios, Elephunk's not their 1st album. In fact, they haf a couple in the '90s. Elephunk's their 1st album with Fergie in the band though.

No idea, but i've heard 1 or 2 of their songs, really '90s rap. The group consisted oni the 3 men. No Fergie. Although i have to say that after she joined, they've been doing quite well. Haha, they're the 2nd group i noe that consists of different races other than LP.

I like their old stuff, but they run out of things to sing about.
I lost respect for them when I heard My Humps.
HATE THAT SONG.. but love to sing it...
Don't know how that works.

What respect I did have for them (most gained by getting some of their better, more addictive songs stuck in my head) was lost after My Humps.
:[ Icky song and far too catchy. It gets stuck in your head and torments you for hoooooour. Eeechk.

I hope you guys know that "Let's get it started" isn't even supposed to be in that song, while looking for there first album in the 90(which I have found to still be wrong) the song was changed so it could be broadcasted on the air. The real words to the song are"Let's get Retarded".Which actually makes since because of the fact that "Elephunk" was a playful album. They changed it because to air something like that would be insulting for all those Mentally challenged kids who have to listen to the song on the radio. Now that it isn't aired on the radio as much they actually use the correct lyrics.I bought the normal version of the cd yesterday,so know I have the radio version and the original verion,I also heard the correct version on my trip to Canada.

Actually, the term "let's get retarded" has nothing to do with the mentally ill. It has to do with certain... substances that when consumed cause various... delusious and other such side effects... If you know what I mean.
Personally, I find the "Let's Get It Started" version better than the original "Retarded" version.

I have Elephunk and Monkey Business. My favourite song would be Gone Going, though Let's Get Retarded and My Humps are cool too.
