After a very long delay (almost 2 months!), game 3 is finally up!

Same rules still apply as the last game, and the first game. If you want to read the rules, read them in the first SSBM game, found here.

This game is going to be a little different. This game is going to be a team game. Which means SSBM characters will be going against each other as a team.

Now, since it isn't too hard to guess on the winner, you won't get a load of Psybucks, but a reasonable amount. Each guess you get right in the first round gets you 2 Psybucks. Round 2, you get 3. And Round 3, you get 4. The person in first at the end of the game (not round) will be rewarded 80 Psybucks. So, if you like Psybucks and guessing, this is your chance! FEG's can participate, but they won't be rewarded with Psybucks since they're supposed to be giving out Psybucks instead.

NEW RULE

To cut out some spam, people are now asked to give a reason for their choices. Anyone can just pick a contestant, but explain why you think that choice will win the round.

Team Fluff, because Jigglypuff can use sing to make opponents fall asleep and while there asleep, Kirby can suck them up and copy their powers.

1. It's a good guys versus bad guys thing. Mario will always (or should) prevail over Bowser.
2. I don't know, I always just preferred playing as Roy or Marth to Link or Gannondorf. Gannondorf is cool, but too slow for my liking.
3. I don't like Pikachu.
4. I will always think that Jigglypuff is the single worst SSBM player. It's way too slow and weak. Zelda isn't much better, but she makes up for it with Sheik.

That's only one team. There's 8 teams and 4 battles in this round. If you want an example as to how you should guess the winners correctly, check Swift's post.

1. Team Mario vs. Team Giant- Bowser and D.K. are very slow so Mario and Luigi should be able to dodge them and kick them about 20 times with only getting about 90 damage each then throw D.K. and Bowser off and they'll be to heavy to get back on.

2. Team Tri-Force vs. Team Fire Emblem- Link is just as fast as Roy and Marth so he should be able to weaken them a little. And Roy and Marth's best attack is very slow so Ganondorf should be able to finish them off with his punch.

3. Team Rat vs. Team StarFox- Pichu and Pikachu have strong attacks and good speed, their defense isn't the best but it shouldn't be a problem since all Fox and Falco have is speed.

4. Team Fluff vs. Team Princess - Zelda can use her long range attacks to weaken the opponents and then Peach can finish them off by using her kick. This should be easy since Kirby and Jigglypuff are slow.

The Mario bros. don't pack enough of a punch to KO the Giants.

Marth and Roy are too fast for Ganondorf, and together should be able to overcome Link.

Pikachu and especially Pichu can't keep up with Fox and Falco. They'll be slaughtered.

Zelda alone is enough for Kirby and Jigglypuff. Peach will just add to their pain.

2. Roy=ownage. I own with Roy, and Im talking firsthand when I say Link's Sword Plant inst enough and Ganondorf will get owned by a flurry of jabs. And ocasionnally Fire Blade (whatever its called)
3. Fast vs thing that hurts itself and the thing that gets owned by a combo attack..... =fast. I would vote for Pika because I beat Master and Crazy Hand with it on Hard, but Im not the computer.
4. Zelda owns. Shiek owns. Kirby and Jiggly=too light. Peach=good.

Teams Giant, Fluff, and StarFox are the easy picks..

I'm having a hard time with the other matchup though. Marth and Roy are powerful, but their more powerful attacks take time. Link could go head to head with either of them, plus he has ranged attacks. Young Link is kinda a weak link (no pun intended) I'm afraid..

So, I'll go with Giant, Fire Emblem, Star Fox, and Fluff to win.

1. Mario is ok, but Luigi pwns, Bowser is just too bad, even with DK, he's just a giant waste of space.
2. Both members of the Fire Emblem team are very good, too much for Team Triforce, although this will be very close.
3. This one is kinda tough, but Team Starfox has the speed and stamina advantage.
4. This one is obvious.

Sheesh, reasons, that's hard. Mario is much faster than Giant, and I just got owned by 2 Marios and a Doctor Mario is a 25-man survival melee. Fire Emblem is awesomely cool, and I think Ganondorf is too slow... Marth or Roy's counter vs his charge punch, ouch. On the other hand, while the Pika's are fast, StarFox packs more of a punch. The Princesses are weak, so I think Kirby will carry his team to victory.

1) AI Mario is strong.
2) Although I prefer Marth and Roy, I think that the AI on Link and Ganondorf is much stronger.
3) This is obvious.
4) AI Kirby is reaaally weak (although he's my fav), while Zelda has Sheik and Peach has thta floaty move.

In the first battle I'm saying Team Giant because I've seen them do quite a lot of damage, and as CPUs Mario and Luigi are pushovers. The second battle is a little more difficult, but Fire Emblem is my shoe-in because Tri-Force's long range attacks suck and Marth and Roy support each other loads in close combat (Marth with quick, comparatively long ranged attacks, Roy as the hard hitter). In the third battle Team Rat will win because I hate Falco and Fox as playable characters and Pikachu is fantastic. Pichu can, and will die but Pikachu more than makes up for the space left. And finally in battle #4 Team Princess will win because I'm a long time fan of Sheik, 'nuff said.

1.The Mario Bros. are fast, but the Giants are sturdy, and it will take alot to get them off the stage.
2.ALL of Marth and Roy's attacks are sword attacks, giving them distance and power. Plus, they aren't slow.
3.More often then not, Pichu does more damage to itself then other characters. That team just doesnt have what it takes to claim a victory.
4.Zelda has some wicked strong attacks, plus she can move so fast as Sheik.

I have used Bowser and DK in a team. They ARE awesome. Falco and Fox have a natural advantage with their agility and strength.

Tri-Force has the speed and "Ninja-Skillz" of Link and the Strength of Ganondorf. Star Fox has speed, good moves, and awesome power.

I've always worshipped Link and his mates. I don't like huge characters, they LOOK bulky and strong but AREN'T..... I think....

I don't like pink and fluffy things that fight. It's messed up. (Like Sumo-Ninjas) And I like Fox as he is my best character along with Falco.

1. Link and Ganandorf are just such a good pair, Ganandorf being as powerful as he is and Link with such a wide variety of attacks and a good speed. The Giants just can't match them.

2. I can't believe these pink puffballs won last time, but there is no way they can pull it off again. Plus, Starfox is so fast, and they have some relatively powerful attacks.

Round 2 (Semi-Finals)

1. Giant vs. Tri-Force
2. Star Fox vs. Fluff

Link Pawns, Sword Plant against two juicy targets like that? Fluff I've just got a feeling about, I think they're going all the way.
Oh, and BTW, you've got my points wrong. You said I got 1 point last round, but I guessed both Fluff and Star Fox right.

Team Starfox over Team Fluff, because Falco pwns, and Jigglypuff doesn not.

Team Tri-Force over Team Giant, becuase Team Giant shouldn't have gotten this far anyway.
