Methinks I have no idea why the messages popped up, but I do know that you have to have the National Dex in Emerald to trade with Colosseum, so that's why you couldn't trade, but again, I have no idea how Colosseum got corrupted or why those messages come up. Did you do something to your Coloseum disc?

interesting. Did anything happen during the trade, like something with the cable or the cartridge? Did you turn off the power of either the Gamecube or the GBA? And what pokemon were being traded, exactly?

Nope.

1. No, nothing went wrong.
2. Nope - the power was stable.
3. My Lv.12 Emerald Mudkip for My Lv.50 LeafGreen Venusaur which was in Colosseum.

Well, emerald(and of course firered and leafgreen) cannot work with the bonus disc, but since your venusaur is in, leafgreen and firered works, which means emerald should work. It may be your cartridge, since it said

Is it a american emerald with a american collosium or canadian (if they have) emerald for canadian collosium?(sorry aint sure if canadian and american games are diffrent). It maybe the wrong launguage/where you got it, ect/

My dad bought the cartridge from a store in Hong Kong over Ebay. If it was incompatible with American/Canadian systems, it wouldn't have worked on my GBA SP.

Single player I think will work with a Jap/Eng system. But, for example, TLOZ4Swords will not work if you have 1 Eng and 1 Jap game. This is what will happen.

We're talking about two completely different concepts here. I didn't say that Japanese games wouldn't work on an English system - I only stated that my English cartridge, which was a completely english game, was bought factory-direct from Hong Kong.

Somehow I don't believe it to be a fake. The cartridge and the game itself are identical to other Pok

No, perhaps it doesn't like me.

I just tried it again - I traded my Treecko in Colosseum for my Zigzagoon in Emerald. I lost my Emerald save file again!

Alright. I'll try that. :)

I just hope that once I've beaten Emerald, and I go to trade with Colosseum, that I don't lose my Emerald save file again, and all the hard work I went through in completing Emerald as well as training my pokemon have gone to waste. :x

As per the Colosseum manual, you need to have the Pokedex, and the game saved at a pokemon center, you can not trade shadow pokemon (unless completly purified,) you can not trade poekmon holding mail, or the enigma berry, and you can not trade eggs.

Assuming the above criterion is met, then there is a small trouble shooting secion on page 50 of the manual...If none of that helps, I'd probably write Nintendo a letter asking what's going on, and why it's not working, and in doing so try to be as comepletly descriptive of the problems, and the factors involved.
