This game has WAY too much content. I've already invested 30 hours into it, and I'm not even halfway done! It's still very fun, though.

I was playing Conquest today and I aimed to leave for the library to get some Internet access, and I wanted to leave between 2.30pm and 3pm. So I figured, why not, I'll pass the time by playing Conquest.
The next time I looked at the clock, it was 3.30pm.

I'm addicted. It's a curse.

Got the game and have played it for 8 hours now. My main team is Espeon, Wigglytuff, Darmanitan, and Carnivine. As this isn't a game where you can play with just six Pokemon, I also switch between Gurdurr, Ampharos, Pansage, Rufflet, as well as Rhyperior and Gallade. I thought the idea for this game was terrible, but after playing it for a few hours I became addicted and now I can't put it down.

I'm about to fight the Ghost type castle, which should be the last one besides Dragon... It took forever to evolve Eevee into Espeon so if you want something other than the original three it's going to take some investment. I'm now experimenting with Dratini and will be bringing him to the Ghost castle.

Whoo finally beat Nobunaga in the main story line. The first few tries he beat me up so I spent some time training after that. I had originally wanted to get a Leafeon but decided to get a Glaceon instead to take on Dragnor. Needless to say that took forever. Also added Aya+Beartic to my team and then went back and wrecked Nobunaga :O.

I made my Eevee evolve into a Jolteon. The AI in this game is my one complaint, as Nobunaga, the final boss mind you, is so stupid that he attacked my Jolteon with his Zekrom (volt absorb). I'm fifty hours in, and I just finished Nobunaga's Story.

I'm about 40 hours in and I finished exactly half (17) of the extra stories. Currently working on Motochika's. The Samurott helps.

By the way, was I the only one who beat the main storyline without using an Ice-type?

Anyone know how much it costs at Gamestop? I'll probably pick it up Saturday.

My main team was Flareon, Charizard, Gurdurr, Staraptor, Quagsire and Ampharos, so no.

go away >=O

It costs...I dunno, $35? I preordered it and then paid $30 + tax, so yeah, about $35.

And, no, I will not go away.
But why would you say such a thing? :*(

Anyone know if when you level up locations in one episode, will they remain leveled up in subsequent episodes?

They will not.

I tested this myself. I think I got half of Ransei to level 3 (max).

I got it yesterday and I'm 5-ish hours in. How do I use the Moon Stone to evolve Wigglytuff? And if I evolve Eevee, will it still be able to attain 100% with the main character?

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

For evolving Jigglypuff, you need to equip the warrior linked to it with the moon stone and then win a battle.

The rank ii player character can attain 100% link with Eevee and all of its evolutions.

OK. I still don't get how to equip items but I'll give it a try.

When on the overworld, go to the kingdom with your chosen warrior in it, select it, and hit the Equip button (do not hit Enter).
That takes you to the equip screen, where you can equip items as you see fit.

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

Found it, thanks! :) ALso, the pokemonc an't be at maximum friendhip with its warrior, can it? I tried to evolve an Onix with Steel Coat the same way but it was already at 33.00/33.00% with its warrior.

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

To evolve Onix, in addition to having the metal coat equipped, you must land the final blow on an enemy warrior's Pokemon.

Sounds complicated.
Ohhhhhh I seem to have found the evolution guide on this site.

Author:  DNA [ Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:46 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

Also, each warrior has a different max link % with a particular Pokemon evolutionary line (they tend to have higher possible % when using a Pokemon of their specialty type, and out of that specialty type, there's 1 specific line they can reach 100% with - you can check where they can get it on the main site).

By the way, although link % sounds like friendship, it's technically more like the Pokemon's level. So picture an Onix/Steelix lv33 but it can't go any higher than lv33. (Whoever's using it has terrible synergy with Onix's types; the average for a generic warrior for any Pokemon is about 60, +/- 10.)

I figured/knew all of that. It makes Espeon/Umbreon sound impossible. D:

Not for the main character (or any Normal specialist)!

Hmm... Sounds great.
But I don't really understand the game.
Is it like Original games, Colosseum, or new kind?
Also... can you get Rapidash? :P

Author:  Cherrygrove [ Fri Aug 17, 2012 3:55 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

It's not like any other Pokemon game. Of the games I've played it's most similar to Fire Emblem. And no, Ponyta and Rapidash are not in the game.

Post subject:  Re: Pokemon Conquest

The combat seems very similar to the Mystery Dungeon games. The overworld is just like a normal conquest game. You conquer places and keep tabs on them/use them. Reminds me most of 7 Cities of GOld for DOS but no one else seems to have heard of that game.
