Crossman, I understand that you never trained serious with contests, but this pokemon is pretty unbalanced with moves. But since its at its highest level for learning any new attacks, it should be fairly easy to get attacks you need with heartscales or tm's if you have any. Anyway Im assuming you participated in a cool contest, due to your thunder and AA. The other two are completely useless for this competion. Try something more like this.

Hyperbeam
Thunderbolt
Swords Dance
Fury Cutter

This is a simple set. First use Swords Dance then Fury Cutter as combo, then Swords dance and fury cutter again and finally Hyper Beam. Thunderbolt is there because I couldnt think of anything else.

There isnt much to do with and coolness due to his very wide yet also limited move pool of cool moves. The combos are pretty much worthless. I recommend you use Absol in beauty contests. He could win the master rank with tms alone since he can learn the combos. (ex. sunny day, flamethrower, hail, blizzard.)

This was my moveset at the time.

hmmm i must be missing something........ still working on pokeblocks + scarf hyper rank currently faint atk needle arm leech seed ingrain if possible give me a new atk that is actually good, because he is a lvl 61 and i think he should atleast have a useful atk if hes that high of a lvl

I used one to smoke the Cute competition: Zigzagoon/SUPERCUTE! (dont ask, I thought nicknames had some godly power in Contests back then) Max Cuteness Mud Sport Growl Tail Whip Return (which was replaced with Rest just in case) -Gardevoir~

my pidgeot won the cool contest. it had these moves quick attack aerial ace wing attack hyper beam seems weak but i can't belive i won i used quick attack if not first then aerial ace then repeat. at the 5th turn i would use hyper beam.

If anyone knows..... The stars & hearts that measure rounds 1 & 2, there are 10. I have had pokes in X-contest w/ maxed stat & scarf, this usually nets 7 (stars). I'll occasionally see in the Master rank a NPC contestant w/ 8 stars. How do they do it? What will max out stars?

There are moves that can yield 8 stars. Destiny Bond, Explosion, Memento and Selfdestruct, to be exact. Use the Psydex's Appeal Points Search Function to find out more. Here's a link: http://www.psypokes.com/dex/atksearch.php?type=appeal Further points can be given, up to ten, depending on the response of the crowd to your appeal, I think. You can get up to five stars from audience response if I'm not wrong
