No, I don't think it is a rip off. Its a competetive game (sp?), and it takes all the fun out of it if they can all be found in one game. ;[ _________________

No, I don't think it is a rip off. Its a competetive game (sp?), and it takes all the fun out of it if they can all be found in one game. ;[ I agree, the entire idea of some pok __________________

i had 2 gba's one was my sp and 1 was my old reg advanced but i needed to a get the link form my friends lol  and i did it like that but now that regular gba is down in south carolina with my bro gave it to him (and an old DK game i beat

It's not a rip off it's part of the game, but if you really want to get the pokemon you can't get use GameShark.

I have a brother and a sister with a gameboy so I can get my favourite guys in each game  . you can do either. I have 2 gbas and sapphire and emerald and link cable. I sometimes trade with myself or i trade with my friend. I think that is why i almost completed my pokedex.

This is just a brilliant idea for gaining your money out of your pocket of Nintendo. Not many people have friends playing pokemon I believe, and if you want to complete the dex, you have to buy two sets of game.

Calculon summed it up pretty well. They did this specifically so you would interact with others and their games. Indeed, I have two GBA's, so I "cheat".
