You only get the EV's (stats for stats) by battling other Pokemon that give experience. Battling, in other words.

There's an EV guide on Psypoke and a lot of other guides as well.

Actually, Emerald supports the Wireless Adapter more than FRLG. It just doesn't come in the box. :P You can also use a Link Cable. All you need to do is go upstairs in any Pokecenter.

I think there is a special way to get Salac Berry because the Berry Guide (Statistics) did not mention it.

I can't really remember, but I think you can only get it from Colosseum.

I'm pretty sure that Scope Lens and Bright Powder are only available at the Frontier in Emerald.

Also, I believe that Pokemon XD will be the first game to have the Stat raising berries available.

I have a question about fishing in my desperate search for Feebas.

When you fish are you fishing on the square you are sitting on or the square infront of you?? I am trying to fish on each square, maybe that way I will finally find my feebas :)

When you fish, it's the square in front of you that you are fishing from. (The square the rod goes into)

Has anyone linked pokemon personallities to what they do at the Battle Palace? I'm testing it, but I was wondering if anyone else had done it already.

I just noticed that Emerald doesn't have Lunatone (my favourite Pokemon) or Zangoose. Are there any others in particular?

It doesn't have surskit (and therefore Masquerain), meditite/medicham, roselia, zangoose and lunatone.

My turn to ask 2 questions:
1 - About hidden power. It's a normal type attack right? But if you have hp grass, will it become grass type (with damage being determined by sp. atk stat) or does it remain normal type, with damage depending on the atk stats?

2 - Do normal types benefit from STAB? If so, is return more effective in a normal type than any other (w/ equal hapiness value)?

Hope I made myself clear.

this is incorrect.

Normal is just another type. It gets stab on all normal attacks.

And i believe that HP always stays physical (attack) even if its a special type like hp grass.

That'd explain the UNREAL beatings I have been given in netbattle.
Thanks. I do have another question though, this one being a little dumber... What you guys call Ubers is any pokemon that is overpowered, like a legendary, right? What about Charizard, salamence, etc? Are they ubers, or just overused? Sorry if it was too noobish...

Btw, I once heard two guys talking about celebi: what was better for its moveset, Psychic or HP grass. I thought it was psychic, but then they said hp grass was probably the best. Why?

For the few I can answer:

The Natures for the Battle Palace were posted in the Guide I recently wrote, found here:
http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~psypoke/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4538

And Charizard, Salamence, and those are what you'd call overused, not Ubers.

The Celebi thing, I'd go with Psychic but that's me.

Is there a guide to the slot machine in the Emerald game corner anywhere? I got stuck into it last night and this little animation of a pickachu playing a slot machine came up but I had no idea what I was supposed to do.

Hidden Power's type changes, but it still remains as a physical attack that depends on Attack, I believe.

Normal does get STAB, but only from GSC onwards. STAB for Normal moves was absent in RBY.

As for Celebi, I don't think that between HP Grass or Psychic, one is distinctly better. They're both pretty good, so the fact that those people said HP Grass was better should only be because of their personal opinion. Anyway, if both moves are good, why not use the both of them in a single moveset? For instance,

{celebi} @ Lefties
Modest | Natural Cure
252 SA, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~HP Grass/Giga Drain
~Psychic
~Leech Seed
~Recover

There you go.

Anyway, Bangles_AU, I don't think there is a guide to the Emerald Game Corner. There might be some info in the walkthrough though, so do check it out. If not, would you like to explain what you're stuck with?

I had another look at the guide and it doesn't even seem to mention the Game Corner, so maybe I looked at the wrong place. The slots are also not mentioned in the Prima guide.

What I wanted to know is when you play the slots game sometimes you will get a line of what looks like pikachu's head with a lightning bolt on it. When you get one a lil bolt appears at the top of the slot game.

I found that after I got one of these bolts, after locking on the lines I wanted to play and set the slots rolling another little window opened that had a pikachu sitting in front of what looks like a little TV, but I think it is supposed to be a slot machine. It has spinning numbers that count down to 0, Then the tv blows up and the game returns to normal.

What I would like to know is, what are you supposed to do when the pikachu comes up?? Also how do you make it appear? I played the slot game again and got 4 lighting bolts at the top of the screen and never got the pikachu again.

I hit the select button to see information on the slot game, but it didn't explain anything to me.

I hope someone can help, I know the game corner isn't really a crucial part of Emerald but I like to spent a little time there working of my frustration at not being able to beat the Mossdeep Gym leaders.... yet!

well if my brain isnt scrambled, wich it often is... :?
that pikachu is like some sort of bonus thing. an it doesnt always land on "0" tho i think it usualy does.
On the odd chance it lands on somethin else tho i think it drops the last slot (column) by that many places...
example: the order on the last slot is "pokeball, lotad, 7, cherry" and the pikachu shows a 4, it will move from "pokeball", to "cherry".
The TV blowing up on "0" is basicly a way of saying "no bonus".

Ok well, after editing this post more than once... turns out i was wrong before... as far as i can tell, the pikachu tv thing is random, but the effect should be as i said... as for the lightning bolts... im still trying to figure out their purpose and i hope to find out soon.... not much else can happin when the bar on top is full of lightning bolts... so ima see wut happins...
i'll let ya'll kno if i got somethin more later.

Edit: fixed info on how to get pikachu bonus
Edit: removed wut i said about getting the pikachu bonus, an fixed it... sorta...

Also... im not exactly too sure how to get the pikachu, other than play alot... and maybe winning has something to do with it.. but when u get the line full of lightning bolts then the pikachu thing will happin.

 I think im gona go play some slots now an see if i can figure out something more to help out!
either way, hope i helped, an i'll try an get back with more if i can :D

ahhhhh!! So basically I just have to sit back and hope for a number that is not 0, cool :)

Thanks

I've got a question (dir lol)!

Well on my trainer card there are 6 "icon things".
The first is Hall of Fame Debut
The second is Link Battles
The third is Pokemon Trades
The forth is "?"
The fifth is "?"
And the sixth is Battle Points Won 340BP

What r the "?"'s?

I'm not very sure; I think they are: Complete the Hoenn Pokedex, and complete all Master Rank Contests and get five museum paintings.
