It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a legit mew level 9 and under. The LOWEST level legit mew is 10, given away at Toys R' Us a couple years back.

It is also IMPOSSIBLE to trade a normally hacked mew that is level 9 and under over the GTS. However, there are loopholes.


If anyone, like me, has ever actually gotten a mew 9 and under off the GTS; it's been pokesaved. I have no idea how it works, but I speculate that it tricks the game into thinking it's both level 9 and under and legit at the same time.

Now, please, stop asking for them so you can trade them over the GTS. You can't. See the shiny thread on why people are asking for them.

I have to agree, the Mews can be put up for trade but not given as trade. The mews are used only for CLONING which has been stickied and explains the whole process. There is nothing anyone can do about it, the reason the trade looks so good is because people are CLONING their best pokes.

I hope this is either merged with Frosts post or somehow stickied. Its not really helpful but more just stating the obvios.

And remember, this goes for ANYTHING that is final evolution/any evolution that the Pokemon normally evolves into past level 9. Getting them is just as impossible.

I don't check the trade center much, but if I do find trade offers asking for Pokemon like that, they will be edited as necessary. If they OFFER such Pokemon, they will be deleted.

But the thing about level 9 and under, say, empoleons is you can hack them with a normal AR and trade them for someone who asks. With mew 9-, it has to be pokesaved.

When i'm cloning, i pick random evolutions under level 9. Instead of always doing Mew under level 9, i do an assortment so no one hacks it from AR while i'm trying to clone.

I am happy to see this stickied, it should help in all technical terms but the people who keep lacking on reading these are just going to post over and over for Mews. But still hopefully this WILL help.

Pokemon that can actually be obtained level 9 and under that shouldn't:

Bibarel
Staravia
Kirlia (Gallade)

there's probably more, but those are all I can think of at the moment. I think for the first two you need some Pokemon cartridge in the GBA slot, and Kirlia can be obtained with the Pokeradar. All are at level 4 (Bibarel and Staravia might be at level 5, but I forget.)

I am pretty sure that people do that to get pokemon you need to trade for

Example: kadabra evolves to Alakazam by trading

so people offer it for a mew nine and under

take him back in a few day and voila

You have yourself an Alakazam

there are many more pokemon like that

and that is another glitch in the gts

how can you get a mew besides the event? is it possible? i don't think you see it ever so i guess i can't get one right? i hate the events! THEY MADE SHAYMIN AND MEW, ETC. IMPOSSIBLE TO GET! :roll:

You can't. You can only get Mew with Mystery Gift at a nintendo event because Nintendo hates us and doesn't want us to complete our pokedex-es.

It's possible to get an item hacked one, too, in emerald.

For some reason, my friend got a Mew traded to him. I don't know where he got it, but I have the dex entry for it. I'm just confused that people want Lv. 9 and under Mews all the time. People also ask for pokemon at Lv. 100 when they offer one at Lv. 1. It's very weird. Also, in Pkmn. Emerald, Winona had an Altaria at Lv. 33 and it knew Dragonbreath, which it learns at Lv. 36. Plus, if Altaria would breed Swablu would be the result, an Swablu can't learn Dragonbreath. I just don't get why people put up offers that don't make sense. Hopefully, we'll see less of that, in the future.

What about in pokemon diamond when you meet Galactic at the windworks, and the boss has a lvl 16 purugly, that evolves at lvl 34 i think.

I was fishing for Dratini, and found a Dragonair lvl 19 or 29 (I forget) but I know it was less than 30.

You can find a dragonair in the wild in FR/LG... at about level 28-30

When you breed two altaria that know dragonbreath, the swablu will get dragonbreath because both of the parents knew it.

i thought that only worked with level up moves that the poke didn't need to evolve for... like no little treeco with leaf blade.

My Gf got a level 9 Salamence for a level 1 female Combee in a GTS trade.


You forgot Electrode

If you catch a level 3 Pikachu in Viridian Forest in FR/LG and then evolve it with a Thunderstone, a man in the Pokemon lab on Cinnabar Island will trade the level 3 Raichu for a level 3 Electrode.

I have a shiny pokesaved level 1 mew that i got by offering a lvl 100 shiny ho-oh and it works to trade, but outside of the gts its lvl 100 does anyone know why/want one?

Since were on the subject of trading. Is there any way of getting my ultimate team on Pearl.

Dragonite, Salamence, Charizard, Rayquaza, Garchomp and Flygon.

Now i know i can trade over my own Flygon, Rayquaza and Salamence from Emerald cos i have them but..... how would i go about getting the others or at least their primary evolutions?
