so i was ev training my mew, when it caught pokerus from a wild carvanha. i was happy because as most people know it doubles the number of ev gained from 1 pokemon and i was also using the macho brace on it. but when i went to refresh my knowledge on it, i chelked the thread on psypokes. i'm aware that after 3 days the pokerus will disapear and my mew (and rest of my party) won't ever be able to re-catch it. So here are my questions; if i deposit mew in the pc i know it will keep pokerus (as if a temporary pause until i withdraw it) but will all my other pokemon catch it that are in the pc? Also when reading the guide it said that, though mew would lose pokerus, its effects would continue permanantly., - so i want confirm this so i don't overtrain my ev spread. My final question is that, if i send my mew to my firered game will it keep pokerus permenetly? (but if the previous question is confirmed then it would be pointless to move mew to another game unless to infect the rest of my pokemon) Thank you for your time and effort on helping me. |

It is true that keeping the Pokemon in the PC will allow it to keep the Pokerus, but it will not spread it to other Pokemon in the PC. The only way to spread it is to have that Pokemon with the Pokerus in our party, and the others in your team will eventually catch it as well. It is also true that you will still retain the double EV gain even after the Pokemon is cured. It just won't be able to spread the Pokerus after it is cured. I don't know off hand, but I would say that most likely, it will not keep it permanently if you trade it to FireRed. You can trade it over to spread it to other Pokemon on that game, but I believe it will be cured as it would be in the game you send it from. |
