Post battle tower
in the battle tower (ruby) I have challenged the lvl 50 and lvl 100 ranks and in both cases I get stuck with crummy vitamins as my prize. How do I get things like the scope lens and leftovers?

You can get the scope lens and leftovers if you have 6 or more consecutive wins.
