First time doing this. I was hoping someone could rate my team for Leaf Green.

Dugtrio- Lvl 46
Magnitude
Aerial Ace
Slash
Rock Slide

Raichu- Lvl 44
Double Team
Shock Wave
Brick Break
Thunder Bolt

Starmie- Lvl 45
Recover
Psychic
Surf
Ice Beam

Ninetales- lvl 44
Toxic
Confuse Ray
Sunny Day
Flamethrower

Snorlax- lvl 44
Rest
Sleep Talk???
Metronome???
Strength--> delete b4 elite 4, any recomendations?

Dragonite- lvl 56
Safeguard
Fly
Outrage
Hyper Beam

My main critera was to not repeat any moves and to cover all my weaknesses. I'm planning on leveling up all to at least 56 b4 hitting elite 4, I'm about to face Blaine with the above team. The team member I need the most work with is Snorlax. Can't figure out a good move set for him. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

56 is when dragonair learns Outrage. Then I let him evolve. Now he's my backup incase all the rest of my team feints, which hasn't even come close to happening yet. Why should I copy and paste? Isn't this the correct rating place?

So I was all set to take on the Elite 4, got all my team up to lvl 57, when my VBA crashed and took me back to lvl 35ish for all of them. FML. Anyways, this is the team I had before it died on me. Let me know what you think. I made some revisions from last time (move sets for the ones that needed it). I usually went with more accurate moves instead of the more powerful ones.

Dugtrio- Leftovers
Aerial Ace
Rock Slide
Sludge Bomb - replaced Slash (for kicks and giggles)
Earthquake - replaced Magnitude (more reliable)

Raichu- Magnet
Double Team
Shock Wave
Brick Break
Thunderbolt - preferred over Thunder (more accurate)

Starmie- Nevermelt Ice
Recover
Psychic
Surf - preferred over Hydro Pump (more accurate)
Ice Beam - preferred over Blizzard (more accurate)

Ninetales- Charcoal
Toxic
Confuse Ray
Flamethrower
Overheat - replaced Sunny Day (one less move to use before attacking after 1,2 punch of poisoning and confusing)

Dragonite- Dragon Fang
Safeguard
Fly - couldn't think of a better move to put here
Outrage
Fire Blast - replaced Hyper Beam (for ice types, plus no recharge)

Snorlax- Quick Claw (to compensate for low speed)
Rest
Psychic - replaced Sleep Talk (can just use full heal or poke flute after rest)
Earthquake - replaced Metronome (more reliable)
Hyper Beam - replaced Strength (because it sucked)

Please let me know how I can improve (if at all) incase I decide to try beating it again. I doubt it since my VBA was stuck on 650% normal game speed. It sucks going through doors. lol.

I need some advice for my battle frontier teem. I'm new to this site and I know people here are genius about perfect teams. My team is...

Salamence - Serious - Quick Claw
Return
Rock Tomb
Earthquake
Flamethrower

Tyranitar - Impish - Leftovers
A. Ace
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Crunch

Alakazam - Bashful - Focus Band
Hidden Power
Future Sight
Fire Punch
Thunder Punch

I know there is probably a lot wrong with my team but I don't know as much as I thought I did.

While I may not be an EXPERT, I noticed that 2 of your team members have electric attacks, and all 3 have fire attacks. Maybe you should consider teaching moves of different types more or having support moves? Just a thought.

It doesn't have a pre-set type. Its type and power depend on your Pokémon... and something else, I think.

i do know that, i was asking if they alredy knew, and if they didn't could they go check

just for the record, i don't like hidden power because of its hard to get highest base power(and then it is only 70) when u kan get a better move with more base power

No one can find out your IVs from your lv100 stats without knowing your EVs. Use the process of elimination by using HP on different typed enemies to determine your HP type.

Hasty/Naive 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 6 HP

Rock Tomb[color=#FF8000] dragon claw

Earthquake
Flamethrower steel wing Fire Blast

Use Fire Blast > Flamethrower; unless you go special Salamence, Fire Blast is just for Skarmory and other physical walls.

@ Amber Mine: Hardy & Serious have the same effect (none) so why would you even change it? Dragon Claw is only useful on a special Salamence. Steel Wing has poor type coverage, and a Fire attack is more useful besides.

Tyranitar - Impish quiet - Leftovers
Quiet 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 Atk
A. Ace Substitute
Flamethrower earthquake Focus Punch
Thunderbolt brick break Thunderbolt
Crunch

Tyraniboah is a great anti-stall; there's no real point going DDtar when you have a Salamence already.

Alakazam - Bashful bold - Focus Band @ Choice Band / Leftovers / Lum Berry
Timid 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 6 HP
Hidden Power toxic Calm Mind
Future Sight protect Psychic
Fire Punch Ice Punch / Trick
Thunder Punch recover Thunderpunch / Trick

BoltBeam has some of the best type coverage. However, you can also go TrickZam to cripple an opponent with a Choice Band, although you would sacrifice a sweeping move for Trick. Lum Berry is for using Synchronize to reflect a status onto an opponent without having to suffer it as well.

@ Amber Mine: Obviously you didn't look at Alakazam's base stats - a stall set makes no sense on Alakazam. Any sweeper can OHKO it.

Your team is all offensive - you need tanks as well as sweepers.

You get OHKOed 9 times out of 10. That's an awful survivability for a stall set.

I can put a Magikarp on my OU team. Very unexpected, but that doesn't make it hard to beat.

Sion9, is there any post i do about a moveset that u are not critisizing, no, and i did say don't listen to me coz i am bad at movesets

The Amber Mine wrote:

i am wrong minded but can still take wrong things the wright way, all i am giving is suggestions, and on a closed down team rating thread, is that evil.
if it is, then cuff me and give me 1000 sentences for life and leave me to die, and for the rest of your life think of what you've done.

also, if people come to a public place for team help, they obviosly don't want the moveset guide or smogon(i have seen it, so don't go say that i havn't seen it and that i sould go see it, because i hav), they want advice from people, because it may spark up a convosation, and they can get many points of view, which helps them decide the team, which, in the end, is who it is made by.

take it or leave it.

To post suggestions when you know the suggestions are poor is to deliberately mislead those asking for advice. If you want people to disregard your comments, why post at all?

The Amber Mine wrote:

Moveset guides or Smogon give the best movesets for individual pokemon. That is not the same as the best movesets or composition for teams. You can have an awful team with all Smogon movesets because the pokemon don't work well together. You can also have a good team with non-standard movesets. But, you should expect criticism when posting movesets that deviate significantly from the standard. If you can defend a non-standard moveset's effectiveness from criticism, great. If your reasons to use a moveset are "the moveset is unpredictable" or "people don't want standard movesets," then it should be made clear that said moveset needs work.

If you don't like my team rating and want to criticize it, be specific. Complaining that movesets are standard does not imply that they are bad.

ok, you win
i won't say what i mean by my post(because i can't find the words, and when i do they will be in aussie slang(i live there(which is here for me))like when i said don't listen to me, that is an assie slang thing that i use as a positive. i always say that i suck at everything, but today i found out that i know something that the guy in my class(who, insted of a game, took the periodic table of elements on holidays, for something to do)dosen't.
also, i don't like this post(or the other one that we are having an agument on) are going. i mean that they are not fun topics to read, and fun is awesome(like my avatar, thanx rex09). people want fun, like they want pie(and me chocolate). so ditch the arguments and have fun.
also(again) my team changed(it will do this alot(like the zoroarks in werewolf XI- zoroark edition), so don't do anything about it coz that team is inactive for me(it can be a secondary, but don't worry)
also(i like the word "also") is this topic going to be reactivated, coz there are lots of teams here that need ranking???

EDIT: hey!!! a new page!

In general, I would say the first one is better, because it focuses on special sweeping, while the second moveset splits between physical and special moves.

Didn't Keep Track of DV's.

Battle Frontier Team, but NO B. Pyramid or B. Tower Double Battle mode. Can't trade, Not going to re-breed, either; these pokemon come from over 1000 hours of hard training.

Zapdos Lv100: Lonely, Magnet, Stats:HP318, Att.255, Def183, S. Att.297, S. Def.213, Speed243
T. Bolt
Drill Peck
Light Screen/?
Protect

Blaziken Lv.100: Quiet, Shell Bell, Stats:HP310, Att.288, Def.171, S.att.281, S.def187, Speed180
Blaze Kick (Used 3 pp up's, Scope lens because of this move?)
Sky Uppercut
T. Punch
Mirror Move (I have won many battles with this because of 2-turn moves by opponents)

Blastoise Lv.100: Quiet, Leftovers, Stats:HP311, Att.223, Def.231, S.att.229, S.def.235, Speed196
Focus Punch
Hydro Pump(2 pp up's used!)
Ice Beam
Substitute

I do have a Crobat (lv. 61) and a Swellow lv.83; should I raise either of them and replace one of those 3? Crobat is very evenly balanced on stats, knows Sludge bomb, Wing attack(can't find A. Ace), Giga drain, and Bite.
Swellow's speed is in the 250's but attack is only about 180, knows Return, A. Ace (level up), Steel Wing and endeavor.

Please rate these and thanks!
