Can I use Alakazam instead of Starmie?
I ask because I can't breed for a better Staryu, and Alakazam's Sp. Attack is better.

Timid [Modest] | Leftovers [Shell Bell]
Syncronize
6 HP, 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed [26 HP, 232 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed] or [252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed]
- Calm Mind
- HP (Fighting)
- Shaow Ball
- Psychic

This is the move set I found here. It's a realy good set... Buuut... I think that as a Sp. Sweeper, it should have an even higher Sp. Attack stat. Therefore I have writen my own ideas in ”[” and ”]”.
These changes wil give Alakazam 400 in the Sp. Attack stat.

And what does GP Mence mean?

About Forretress: He was my first thought. but in the Psydex it says that i need a card of some kind... And I don't have that card.
Thanks for the advice.

{alakazam} is a good choice too. I'd prefer Timid over Modest so you can outspeed {gengar}. Though you may want to change Shadow Ball for Ice Punch maybe since this is the Advanced generation and Shadow Ball here is still considered physical instead of it being special. As for its EVs, I'd go with 6Hp, 252SpA, 252Spe.

Dunno about GP Mence. That's the first time I've heard of it too. Guess we have to wait for Peanut-Lover.

Leave a space next-time. The nature is good, but the moveset is terrible. 3 fire moves, and for what reason? You have grass covered, and ice to an extent (some are part water), but thats it. Flamethrower or Fire Blast, EQ, Swords dance/Dragon Dance, and Aerial ace/Rock Slide to round it out. Trust me, much better.

Does it really matter who your HM slave is? This thread is mainly for Competitive Battling/Battle Frontier, not in-game.

I'm guessing this is an in-game team, right? Well it doesn't really matter what your team is in-game. But if you're team is for Battle Tower then that makes a big difference. What is your team for exactly?

Calm Mind

Double Team

Calm Mind, Psychic are fine. Use Thunder Bolt over Shadow Ball. Double Team can stay, but if you can get a hidden power that is Fire, Water, Ice, Dragon, Electric, or Grass that is good too.

{blaziken} Blaziken
Brick Break
Peck
Focus Energy
Blaze Kick

This can use some work. Use Earth Quake instead of Peck, and replace Focus Energy with Quick Attack.

{pelipper} Pelipper
Mist
Surf
Protect
Fly

Honestly but Pellipper is terrible. But seeing as you won't want to replace it use Ice Beam instead of Mist.

{flygon} Flygon
Crunch
Sand-Attack
Dragonbreath
Dig

Use the Sunnybeamer set. Crunch, Sunny Day, Flamethrower, and Solar Beam. You can use Dragon Claw instead of Crunch.

{cacturne} Cacturne
Giga Drain
Pin Missile
Faint Attack
Ingrain

Use Needle Arm instead of Giga Drain, Leech Seed instead of Ingrain because you will have to switch out, use Spikes instead of Pin Missile.

{manectric} Magnetric
Thunderbolt
Bite
Thunderwave
Odor Sleuth

Use Roar instead of Odor Sleuth.

This is my first post and here I go..

{electrode}

Nature : Modest (-Attack, +Sp.Attack)
Item : Leftovers
Ability : Soundproof
Ev's : 6 HP, 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed

Double Team
Rain Dance
Charge
Thunder

The point is to pull of some Double Team's and enjoy beeing healed by Leftovers While sweeping with a more powerfull and accurate Thunder..

Edit: Ok, I think I made a mistake on the moveset.. If I use Charge and then Thunder, I make the same damage to the opponent as I would do by using Thunder two times.. Is there no adventage on that is it??

The problem is, Electrode is too frail to double team up to six double times. On top of that, Evasion modifiers on teams are usually prohibited in most competitive battles.

{electrode} @ Leftovers | Static
Hasty | EVs: 164 Atk, 168 Spa, 176 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-HP Grass
-Explosion
-Thunder wave

You want to increase Electrode's great Speed while dropping it's horrible defense. Electrode can outspeed Aerodactyl and has a tiny chance of OHKO'ing, but I wouldn't necessarily use Electrode against Aerodactyl, as it can probably OHKO back with Earthquake. I believe Electrode's sole purpose in life is to Explode - but with 50 base attack and no STAB Explosion, I don't know how much damage it will be doing.

And that is why substitute is typically used.

Some people like to use a lonely nature. Why?

Here's how it takes out aero and another unsuspecting pokemon

Electrode subs
Aero EQs and breaks the sub

Electrode subs
Aero EQs and breaks the sub

Electrode subs and then activates a petaya berry
Aero EQs and breaks the sub

Electrode uses T-bolt.
Aero is now dead.

But why lonely? Because the next pokemon that switches in is screwed - Skarmory is OHKOd by T-bolt (either that or a good number is done to it), and anything else but Gengar is killed by Explosion, a 500 bp move after cutting defenses in half.

Now a question - why not liechi? Because that says "I'm about to explode, prepare yourself by sending out something like Regirock/Registeel/Metagross/Jirachi/Skarms/Gengar", and the explosion does very little.

Moral of the story: Here's the correct set...

Electrode @Petaya Berry
Lonely / Hasty | EVs enough to beat out Aerodactyl is usually sufficient.
~Substitute
~Thunderbolt
~Explosion
~HP Fire / HP Grass.

Swampert really won't be KOd by HP Grass, not much else will either. Might as well go with HP Fire to dent Scizor and Forretress.

It would be nice if you where to put up natures too. Anyways, use Earth Quake, Brick Break Aerial Ace over Flame Thrower, Crunch, and Fly

{metagross} @ Metal Coat
EQ
Psychic
Metor Mash
Iron Defence (Thinking of changing it)

Use Agility instead of Iron Defense, replace Psychic with either Sludge Bomb, or Shadow Ball. Use Lum Berry as Item.

{lanturn} @ Magnet
Thunder
Rain Dance
Surf
TBolt

Use Attract, Confuse Ray, and Thunder Wave. Replace all moves but Surf. Use Leftovers as the Item.

{misdreavus} @ ???
Perish Song
Pain Split
Mean Look (Good with Perish song  )
Psychic

Misdreavus? You should replace this for something like Gengar or Alakazam.

{hitmonchan} @ Black Belt
Sky Uppercut
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Rock Slide

Hitmonchan is terrible. Use Machamp, Primeape, Hitmonlee, or Hariyama instead of him.

{tyranitar} @ ???
Earthquake
Crunch
Rock Slide
Scary Face (want to change, don't know what to change with :? )

Earth Quake and Rock Slide are fine. Rarely do you want to use Hyper Beam as a move but in ADV Tyranintar doesn't get that much that Salamence already covers. Hyper Beam over Scary Face, and Screech to deal more damagae and possibly force switches.

Well honestly if you don't have any other games to trade with than Haunter is useless. The only ones that are worth using on your team is Charizard, Dragonite and Chansey(evolve into Blissey) and maybe Haunter if you can trade evolve it. Vaporeon can be replaced with Lapras, Hitmonlee can be switched for Primeape, Machamp, or Poliwrath, Raichu and replace Electrode, and if you can't evolve Haunter that can be switched for......possibly Aerodactyl.

Nice that it has Thick Club, Rock Head, and a + Attack Nature. Replace Bonemerang for Rock Slide.

Mega Kick for Thief, Meditate for Reversal, possibly Foresight instead of either Hi Jump Kick or Brick Break.

Use Ice beam instead of Skull Bash, Bite "could" stay seeing as this is an in-game team but I would get rid of it for possibly Protect.

{moltres} lax @ charcoal

Use Fly instead of Fire Blast.

{articuno} naughty @ leftovers

I would get rid of Mind Reader for Water Pulse use Reflect instead of Mist.

{zapdos} bold @ magnet
Lv.55

-steel wing

I guess this set is fine for in-game.

Unless you want to walk 10240 steps just to hatch a Chansey, then get frustrated when it doesn't have the right nature, I was just saving you some trouble that's all. Although if you really want to go ahead I guess.

Dragon Claw for Return.

Poliwarth
Earth Quake
Surf
Ice Beam
Hypnosis

I guess this set is ok. Use Brick Break instead of Ice Beam or Surf.

Kadabra
Psychic
Reflect
Recover
Double-Edge

OK I am just going to assume that you can't trade so this can be replaced.

Vaporeon
Surf
Blizzard > Hydro Pump
Rest
Rain Dance

Ice Beam for Hydro Pump.

Charizard
Aerial Ace
Fly
Flame Thrower
Dragon Claw

Because there isn't Hidden Power on this set, just use Rest or Brick Break instead of Fly or Aerial Ace.

Haunter
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Shadow Ball
Psychic

Again, replace.

Now what do u think of my team?

Posting up the natures of the Pokemon you are using would help a lot with what moves they should use. Also replace Haunter and Kadabra a Grass type and and Ground type should be the replacements. I have to go so I will continue tomorrow.
