<center>I started off with grass-type, but didn't have luck with them because they were too weak and I didn't have a good variety. Luckily, I still have my Breloom and my Ludicolo. Grass-type is my favorite, and I want to get a good party going. Any suggestions on which pokemon to get and where to find them??

-I'm using Emerald.</center>

Shiftry, bellossom, vileplume, tropius, breloom, ludicolo, sceptile are about it for grass types available.

all are usable. You'll have a horrible ice/fire/flying weakness, though.

Sceptile is the final evolution of the grass starter.

Shiftry: Seedot -> Nuzleaf

Tropius - http://www.psypokes.com/dex/psydex/357/location

Can I use a Grass-Stone for the Sceptile?

No Sceptile can be gotten by getting a Grovyle to Level 36. And it is a 'Leaf Stone' not a 'Grass Stone'.

No; no starter requires the use of a stone, except for the Pikachu from the yellow version. Just raise your Treecko to level 16 to evolve it into Grovyle, then raise your new Grovyle to level 36 to receive your Sceptile (who is quite good when combined with leaf blade). As for Shiftry, get a Seedot, which will be hard to get for you, and train it to level 14 to evolve it into a Nuzleaf. Then use your leaf stone on it to evolve it into Shiftry. Then for Tropius, they are found on route 119, between the Berry Master's house and Fortree City; they are rare, but not quite as rare as a Seedot; although, Seedots and Nuzleafs are annoyingly common in ruby version. If you have fire red or leaf green, you gan get a Venusaur, Parasect, Victreebel (leaf green only), Exeggutor, Tangela, or Jumpluff. If you have pokemon colosseum, you can get a Meganium, although, you could also get a Chikorita from Prof. Birch if you complete your Hoenn Dex, or Sunflora, and Sunkern is available in the Safari Zone after you beat the pokemon league. Also, there are more grass type pokemon in emerald version, such as Roselia, Cacturne, and Cradily. If you have any questions about how to obtain these pokemon, please click on them to be taken to their pokedex pages. Also, here are the other grass type pokemon that have already been metioned and have required no explenation: Vileplume, Bellossom, Ludicolo, and Breloom, and don't even try to get this last one without some sort of cheating device: Celebi

EDIT: Sorry, it took me awhile to get all of the URLs set up.

Cacturne is good (I lead with it, I don't know why I forgot). Cradily fails, sorry. Roselia only available in Ruby/Sapphire.

I know all of that stuff, except the part about you and your Cacturne, I was just giving him different grass type pokemon that he could use if he could get them. You could say the same thing about Roselia for the Kanto pokemon that I metioned and Celebi.

If you have emerald only:
{sunflora}{vileplume}{bellossom}{sceptile}{shiftry}{ludicolo}{cacturne}{cradily}{tropius}{breloom}

...and these PKMN are available through R/S/FR/LG/XD/Colosseum/Nintendo Events:
{venusaur}{parasect}{victreebel}{exeggutor}{tangela}{meganium}{jumpluff}{celebi}{roselia}

Isn't that what I said earlier? Also, victrebell is spelled Victreebel.

Don't backseat moderate. You have no authority to tell other users what to do. I don't care if you suggest something, but ordering other users to do something or not to do something will get you in trouble.

kaylareenee, please don't double post; it's against the rules. Please read the rules so you don't break anymore. Thanks :)

Sorry, on the forum that I came from didn't have that feature, so I am not used to know a person's gender, and most of the people ther claimed to be male, so I guess that I just got used to it. Sorry. But, unless you have a cheating device, Roselia are not available in the wild, however, they are owned by other trainers.
