I only just started playing Pokémon within the last week or two. Can't remember that far back. Beat Red (thanks to the walkthroughs on this site), and just beat the Elite Four on Gold (also thanks to the walkthroughs). I like to compose a team entirely of new Pokémon that can take on most, if not all types (not that hard in Red, a little harder in Gold). Here's my lineup:

- Level 48 - For Bug, Grass, Ice, and Steel types
- Level 50 - For Fighting, Ghost, and Poison
- Level 57 (because I accidentally evolved it up too soon and had to wait until then to get Thunder) - For Flying and Water
- Level 47 - For Electric, Fire, Rock, and Ground
- Level 54 - For Dark and Psychic
- Level 48 - For Dragon

Piloswine was the only one I had to heal during the last battle with Dragonite. But everyone else either took minimal damage (Ampharos was hit by Aerodactyl's Hyper Beam) or no damage at all (the rest of them). No PP restores, either. So if I could have found a different (new) Ice Pokémon that was available before Clair, I'm sure it would have been better than Piloswine. Or if I had leveled him up a bit more.

This is my Gold fire team:
- Flame Wheel, Sunny Day, Extremespeed, Dragonbreath
- Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, Strength, Earthquake
- Defense Curl, Rollout, Rock Slide, Low Kick
- Bite, Shadow Ball, Fire Punch, Lick
(assuming I can friggin' find it) - Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Hyper Beam, Fire Blast
- Sacred Fire, Psychic, Thunder, Fly

Many of those attacks are just filler, as I couldn't figure out what else to give them. Any advice is welcome.

I dont know if this thread is dead or not but I just recently started playing Crystal again on my Gameboy Colour and I admit in having fun.

Still, its been literally YEARS since last time I played and some important moves for example were either wasted or I sell them, I dont really know.

So I'm currently trying to train some Pokes and I need your advices for Movesets and mostly, for Alternatives to moves that I can't really get now. Lets start shall we?

Snorlax (Leftovers):

- Rest
- Earthquake
- Body Slam
- I wanted something to do a similar action for Curse, which I cant get now.


Ursaring (????)

- Rest

- Slash
- Wanted Sleep Talk but same thing with Curse lol


Blissey (Leftovers or Mint Berry?)

- Return
- Softboiled
- Double-Edge
- Ice Beam or Minimize (Suggetions are most welcome).


Suicune (Leftovers or Mint Berry?)

- Surf
- Mirror Coat
- Ice Beam (Aurora for now)
- Roar



Kingdra (???)

This Poke most likely came from another game (I dont recall) so his moveset is "weird" currently

- Hidden Power
- Thunderpunch
- Blizzard
- Razor Leaf


So yeah, I need a better one for him. Suggestions peeps!
