So what rod did you use to catch feebas?

You shouldn't have posted this in one of the announcements, so I've split it into a separate topic.

You can use either a Super Rod or a Good Rod to catch Feebas, but it's much easier to get one using a Super Rod.

For more infomation, here are some related links.

On all of Route 119, all of those squares in the water, only six of those squares you can catch a feebas in. I suggest you go through each square, fishing 3-5 times on each one. If you don't get a feebas you're on the wrong square. Do so until you find the right square. And don't change the Dewford "Hip and happening" Trend. That changes the position of the feebas. Good luck. I haven't caught mine yet.

You need to use the good rod. on route 119 there is a pond that you can fish in. in that pond and that pond only are feebas. the only way to get a feebas is to fish in every single spot in that lake. just to make sure. thats what i did. it took a while but i got one. just make sure you have like a lv. 30 pokemon so that you dont faint it. there are only a select amount of spots in that pond that you can catch feebas... so you are going to need to be patient.

And when you do catch one, make sure you don't delete it by accident. What i did was make heaps of eggs and give them to my sisters so i could always easily access a Feebas

right if you go to fortree city go left of the screen until you find some water, go down to the bottom using surf, then keep using super rod on eachof the squares 6 times on each one and just keep doing that on every square till you find a feebas, the when you find one just fish in that same square until you've caught a group of 2-20 feebas.

items needed:
Tm3 Surf (i think its number 3)
a pokemon that can use surf
any type of Poke ball and at least 20 of them
Fly and something to use it
Super rod

use fly to return to any where with a pc, but remember what spot you found feebas on or it'll be harder to find if you need any more, thats what my bro did and he caught 11 of them (i helped him find the feebas and i caught a shiny magikarp for him while looking for feebas).

It's found only in 6 out of several hundred tiles, so you'll have to be real patient to find it.

That would not work..the phrases dont have the same area...if u dont get what i mean heres an example:
You go test it u go put that phrase on dewford. You go and find feebas. You found feebas and start over the game and go to dewford again and type that phrase u put in ur last account. Go to the feebas place and try to go to the place u have found feebas before. Most likely you wont find it AGAIN. The phrase is everytime you change it feebas location changes not everytime u change it you get a certain location to get feebas.

Yeah... I kinda thought so. Darn. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Stupid people, verifying it even though they have no idea whether it really works...

Well, each square refers to one single tile. Meaning, the smallest possible unit you can stand (or rather, float) on - the size of your character.

What's the encounter rate for feebas in the squares where he actually appears? Do I need to fish each square more than once to make sure?
(I'm gonna train all my physical attackers while I'm at it. Nothing but carvanha, woo! By the time I find that dumb fish I won't need him.)

yes u have to fish at least 5 times.if you find a feebas square there are also carvahna there and not just feebas. You have to try 5-7 times to make sure there is no feebas.feebas is still more rare than carvahna even if its a feebas square your fishing at :(

The appearance rate is pretty low when you use a Good Rod, and even when you use a Super Rod, it's about 60% or something. So just fish for about 5-7 times per tile, like Goldenprince suggested, to be safe.

I just started getting serious about finding Feebas, and from what people are saying on this thread...

Wow, I have a lot of fishing to do...

People mention the 400 something tiles of water on route 119. But not all of those tiles are connected to a piece of shore where you can fish from. Has anyone determined whether or not you have to surf around and fish from EVERY tile of water, or if you need only fish from the shore? It would be helpful to know if Feebas appears in tiles that aren't connected to the shore. Also, must you fish? Is it impossible to encounter Feebas by surfing around?

If I do find one, I'll do a happy dance. Until then... anyone got some worms?

I will explain it to you
in route 119 there is a huge lake there in the lake there are 400 squares, feebas can be found randomly in only six squares wich can only be obtained by a super rod.
So there is no point asking a friend because the squares are random.
anyway WELCOME TO PSYPOKE!!
Hey If you are interested do you want to join team Solar??

So I take it then that you HAVE to fish to find Feebas, you can't encounter it by just surfing around, and you must check every tile of water, even the ones that aren't connected to shore. That's good to know.

Thanks for the welcome and the invite.

P.S. While I was surfing around route 119 looking for {feebas} , I found my {latios} !!! I guess that's the way to do it from now on lol - look for one thing and you find another.
