I was looking at the Picdex, and I noticed {dragonite}. Is it me, or is it that after gold came out, Dragonite began to look more and more like a weakling? Take a look at the Red and Blue sprite: you got a pretty kick ass dragon there.

Then you see gold. Now you want to cuddle it.

I don't like Dragonite anymore because of that. Anyone else ever think about it?

I like dragonite better as a cute pokemon more than fierce. It suits him. We need at least one calm puredragon type, cause If I came across {rayquaza} on the street Id piss in my pants and probably die of fear. But {dragonite} Id wanna pet..

I'm sure Dragonite was created to be cute and cuddly, but at the same time, protective of the trainer that raised it. Have you seen Pokemon: The First Movie? Dragonite doesn't look fierce or anything. He looks gentle. Also, they wouldn't have made a Dragonite plushie if he wasn't so cute. I think you should just accept the fact that hes probably more cute then he is fierce :P

Dragonites still not weak. No dragon type can be too weak. And it can learn some real nice moves. It has gotten a bit weaker, but it's still a good pokemon.

This seems to be more suitable in General Pokemon Discussion, but since you're referring to the change Dragonite underwent from RBY to GSC it's fine I guess.

Anyway, I think tha Dragonite has always been meant to be gentle and cute, but incredibly strong under that deceptive behaviour. So I don't see what's wrong with it becoming slightly cuter in GSC :D

I would rather see a strong and mean Dragonite then a cuddly one... But, Since im used to seing dragonite like this, im already used to it. I think all pokemon should defferent expression's, Maybe the females could be nice and the males could be mean. :?

So I do agree with Nfeild21.

Amen to that, brother! I love the male Pokemon, and they should totally be meaner looking! Give me male Pokemon over female anyday (By the way, I'm a chick :D)

And as for that Dragonite, I think it only got cuter because as the games progressed, they said to themselves "Oh! We already have a mean dragon! We'd better make this one nice again."

Lol. I thought that pee your pants thing was funny, but I second that. I'd probably pee myself if i saw either, though.

Also, I don't exactly like Dragonite, but I think that it's cute and cuddly appearance is just a big feint. It's powerful, but it doesn't look it.

I forgot to put in that I like Dragonair better than Dragonite, because third fave dragon is a Lindworm (with Frost and Wyvern coming in first and second).

{flygon}, {salamence}, {rayquaza}, and {dragonair} are some of my fave Dragons.

Just think of Dragonite as a super strong Pokemon, no matter how he looks. :cry: He looks nice! I HATE IT! *sniff*

Anyway, just because he looks bad, well, Lance uses 3 of them, so how bad can they be?

Well.... no matter what {dragonite} looks like, it's still really kick ass..... but no where near as kick ass as {tyranitar}
