Hey guys i used to play pokemon and have completed every game to come out except those on nintendo ds. I was wondering if its worth me buying soul silver or heart gold and do these game really surpass the original gold and silver by much? |

Well, I think it's worth it if you still enjoy playing pokemon after clearing all the other games. Breeding is better now. You can lock an IV with the power items and i think the Masuda method for breeding shinies works across all 4th gen games. The battle tower judge is handy for checking IVs. The Battle Frontier is pretty neat, although I've only done the Battle Tower portion of it, and not that much. and I haven't even tried the Pokeathalon yet, but it looks like a fun mini-game. There's all the wifi things you can do. Trading over wifi is fun and grants access to events and legendaries I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. The pokewalker is awesome. (I may be biased. I have Yellow Forest & Winners Path routes, and train for marathons. So I get all sorts of neat stuff from it) You get to see your lead pokemon follow you around. I think Snorlax is my fave thus far for that. AND! they made shiny sprites for that too, so you can have a shiny follow you around. ^_^ maybe I'm just easily amused, but i think there's loads of reasons to pick up HG/SS. One thing I do miss tho, the secret bases from R/S/E. I hope that comes back some day. |
