Yeah this is a great event, I grabbed one on my HG and SS. It's always a nice pokemon to have, anyways here is what the Mew is:

Like I said I went ahead and grabbed two so if for any reason you are going to miss out on this event let me know and we can arrange a trade. I did soft resets and got a Timid and Modest one but I didn't feel like going for good IV's. An idea for those who want an army of mews, Game Stop has a 7 day return policy on their used games... you could go and buy a used copy of the game, get the event mew and then take the game back for a full refund. Just throwing that out there.
Just in case you are reading this and don't know how to obtain the event mew, its just a few simple steps.
~ You need to be able to access a Wi-Fi connection obviously
~ Start your game normally, when it gets to the part that displays your name and time played etc. scroll down to "Mystery Gift"
~ Three options will appear, you want to choose the one on the bottom titles "Get via Nintendo WFC"
~ It will ask if you want to receive this gift, obviously you hit yes
~ Then it will say the gift has been received and you can pick it up from the delivery man in the poke mart
~ Then it will restart your game, load your save, travel to a poke mart and there should be a man in green. He may be next to the standard delivery guy in red if you haven't gotten the packages from your mother
~ The Nature and IV's of Mew are not a set value, so if you have a plan for yours and want a certain nature you can save right before you talk to the guy and reset over and over as needed until you get the mew you want
