sorry i'm new here so i'm not sure where exactly to post this. . . . anyways i need some help in coming up with a goal for a team i should make. so far, i've only beat 2 gyms (got game yesterday) and want some help. would this be a good team to aim for? typhlosion dugtrio starmie magnezone alakazam/gallade ??? i have a feeling i have too many sweepers thou xD. please suggest different pokemon to use and movesets. thanks! |

thanks for helping, but now i wonder if it would be a good idea to use a dragonite/tyrannitar somewhere. . . . and should i use gyarados instead of starmie or is starmie good? |

They both serve different roles in a team, but because of the rest of your team I'd probably stick with Starmie, as (s)he's more defensive. Tyranitar is better than Dragonite and you should probably make room in your team for him somewhere, but that's up to you and what you want to do with him. |

Change your ??? to a flying type. Most likely Pigeot, Fearow or Noctowl |

Meh, I still think Gliscor would be a more reliable member in the long run; although you'd have to wait until fairly late in-game (Blackthorn) to get one, so for the short-term a Pidgey/Pidgeot would probably fit in well. |

well i'm probably gonna migrate everything i need from Emerald when i can migrate  sry that i forgot to say this was for a Kanto team
for Johto i think i'm using: typhlosion, alakazam, gengar, pidgeot, probably gyarados, and something else. . . . i'll figure the last one out when i find something |

When you make a team you want to assign poke a certain postion.1 lead this is supposed to eaither set up or sweep or set up for sweeping and baton pass ( mine is dugtrio) .2 co lead this is what you might want to baton pass stats to the co lead is supposed to kill things that could harm your actual lead 3,4,5, is the core it is the basis a example for a simple but effective core is a grass poke a water poke and a fire poke. They are supposed to weaken the enemy team as much ad possible. 6. Last but not least the revenge kiler/glue this poke is Supposed to patch up any last weakness or just be areally fast revenge kiler |
