I have two questions:

1. How do you win the Bug Catching Contest, I caught a lvl 15 pincir on the first try but I still lost.

2. Is there some sort of method to the game corner voltorb thing?

Two questions...

Is a Dragonite with Extremespeed any more potent than a Dragonite without one? Just wondering as to if I should buy the Dratini in Goldenrod instead of waiting till the very end of the badges to get raise one.

Is Larvitar catchable pre-Elite Four?

What is the best way to go about capturing Latios/Entei/Raikou? I try rapidly going between two routes, but they sometimes remain put and other times, as I head toward them, they vanish (even if I remain on the route and simply run into a pidgey).

Is there a VS. Seeker? Leveling is taking forever.

Also, WHY did I name my rival Red and myself Steven, resulting in epic confusion?

For in-game not really, but competitively it's a nice option and sets it apart from salamence as a good revenge killer.

no larvitars till mt.sliver.

That's really the best way to hunt them down, use mean look or sleep to prevent them from running and spam poke balls.

There's no Vs. seeker :( just the random phone call rematches

Because you forgot your car keys.

1. Speak in english.
2. Cloning is a glitch. The makers of the game didn't intend for the glitch to be there. They took it out on purpose. It's not coming back.

If you trade a Pokemon to another game (Diamond) to train it much more quickly, and then bring it back to the game it came from, is it considered normal for exp gain, nicknamability, etc.?

no larvitars till mt.sliver.

You can find Larvitar in the Mountain area of the Safari Zone at lv 17 =)
And you can find Misdreavus in the Forest area
Cubone in the Desert
Kangaskhan in the Wasteland (darker, rockie desert)
Ekans, Koffing AND Grimer in the Marsh, regardless of version
Murkrow and Jigglypuff in the Swamp (green with ponds)
Doduo at the "Rocky Beach"

Those are all the previously end-game / Kanto Pokemon that you can now get MUCH earlier =D

:

You have to do that quest to get Misty's badge, for the bullet train to work and for the radio station to work.
It's not specifically for Suicune, but Misty'll be flirting it up on that cape after you get the power up and running
-by finding the Machine Part that the Rocket Grunt stashed in her gym-
So they didn't want the two events to overlap.
THUS! You have to get Misty's gym back up and running before Suicune will show up there.

You have to be playing Soul Silver. Get the national dex and your second starter from Oak and talk to Mr. Pokemon, north of Cherrygrove City.

Just to clarify, I CAN get Larvitar before I face the Elite Four? Is the Safari Zone right after Cianwood?

Yeah. You get the secretpotion from Cianwood, give it to Amphy, and the Safari Zone guy calls you and says that the Safari Zone is up and running.

Hello there, Psypoke people! The site has been a great help, but I have a question that I haven't been finding an answer for.

Could someone advise me on good EV training locations? I'm particularly looking for a good place to train Attack EVs, since I've found a place for Special Attack already. (The pond on Route 35 has only Psyduck and Golduck.)

Thank you!

The EV training guide at http://www.psypokes.com/lab/evtraining.php has a list of the best places to EV train.

Welcome to Psypoke! :)

Edit: Sorry, I forgot which forum this was. They don't have an EV training spots list for HG/SS yet.

You could just search for pokemon by their EVs for defeating them and make your own spot, I guess. :/

Alright, I'm here to clean/clear some of this mess up here...;

Pocket wrote:

This first...Celebi Event has not been announced yet...mainly cause another event will take place on April Fools Day...
Did you register the connection via "Nintendo Wifi Configuration Settings" accessible from the Continue Screen of the game your playing?
& The pokemon you catch are rated as such;

1. Point Value
Pinsir & Scyther = High
Venonat, Paras, Butterfree & Beedrill = Average
Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle & Kakuna = Low

2. Level
Lv. 16 is the highest I have ever seen there so...

3. Condition
The Higher the pokemon's HPs the better & if they aren't inflicted with a status condition that's also good...

4. Special Color
Simply if it's a Shiny Pokemon or not...Shiny Pokemon give you higher points here...

There is no way to find out the exact points you get for what here so...I have the Half Guide so I would know...

BigBean wrote:

The Games?...or?...

Thiefsrox wrote:

This question was asked earlier just bringing it to attention for anyone able to answer it as I'm not...

& Now for my Question...you do have to have registered your own location in the globe in the GTS building to even be able to unlock the pokewalker course that requires the International Trade via GTS, right?...

1. Visit Power Plant and talk to the dude in the center, you should then be stopped by a policeman on the way out
2. Visit Misty's Gym, should encounter a Rocket
3. Pursue said rocket up nugget bridge, where he'll tell you he stashed the Machine Part in the gym
4. Find the part, which is in the red inner tubes on the top left corner of the pool
5. Return the part to the Power Plant
Yay! You can now find Misty on the cape by Bill's house!

Hello! Welcome =D
I recommend surfing on Route 42 (Mt. Mortar entrance route)
Nothing but Goldeen and Seaking, max lv 15
