We can get one of the Kanto and Hoenn starters, even if you don't have FRLG or RSE. Good stuff for someone who doesn't own a PKMN game since GSC.

Gym Leader Rematches with higher lvls. Gold and Silver got boring when training pokemon against Gym Leaders that hadn't raised their levels after 400 hours of gameplay.

Not even drugs do this much damage.

It's true though, only pikachu should follow trainer around like in Yellow.

I love the fact you can give power items(Belt, lens, brace etc..) to parents to lock IVs to the bred pokemon, breeding bases are gonna be so much easier.

True that Cheffy. Though I rarely breed correctly, when I do it is quite a pain in the arse so this will probably incline more people like me to breed the right way.

One thing I dislike is the sheer amount of ingame legendaries.

When you give a pokemon with X amount of IV's in a certain stat the EV item that raises that particular stat and breed it, the resulting pokemon will definitely have the IV's of the pokemon that was holding the item in that particular stat, did that help :?: Sorry if im butting in here MasterChef :?

Ohhhh, sorry about that, i just never heard it before, it sounds a really good idea, and is that only in HG and SS? And it helped a lot, thanks. :D

I like how the Start Menu is in the Touch Screen now. Seems so much more convenient. Plus the Poketch really wasn't that extremely useful for much more than tracking the roaming Pokemon and seeing where berries are. Step Counter sorta helped too, but I'm off-topic now. In summation, I like the relocation of the start menu. I also like some of the new in-game areas like the special magic Safari Zone and stuff.

likes- once in a while, after beating red, you get to double battle with silver against clair and lance, and his pokemon are at a decent level to.

dislikes- version exclusives, really, why?

Post subject:  Re: HG/SS likes and dislikes

+ Great graphics especially on the 3d areas
+ New sprites that look cooler for most pokemon...
- but not for the legendaries (mewtwo, legendary birds, celebii)
- Takes too long to go from Johto to kanto
+ Much better safari zone
- Same old battle frontier
+ Good selection of pokethlon games
+ Red is AWESOME
+ New animations for some moves
+ Redone gyms
- Some people you have the same pokemon more than once on their team but i guess Pokemon always been like that
- And this might just be me but i feel like u get to see some pokemon too late in the game like you dont see houndour until you're like halfway through kanto and he's a johto pokemon what the heck

i've found another like (especialy for me :D )
eevee is obtained at level 5 instead of 20, which means i can train it properly, and give it decent moves.

i completely agree...i like the pokemon following you around and the pokewalker looks cool (just gunna put in my bookbag during school :) ). i hate how there are so many legendaries because uber battle are very boring and they are way too easy to train

1. They are actually making remakes of this game! I was psyched when I heard least spring that these games were coming back out again! Gold version was my first and favorite Pokemon game ever!

2. They are keeping the Johto region the way it was back then, with pretty much the same storyline(I hope)!

3. Judging by in-game screenshots, you can have your Pokemon follow you, reminding me of when I got Yellow version, having a Pikachu follow me wowed me!

4. The graphics!!!

Dislikes:

Have none at the moment...

what I like;

pokemon follows trainer around
the new egg moves that were added
the touch screen additions
the poke' walker
etc.

what I dislike;

the rival battle music
& the fact that the Battle Factory is simular to the Platinum Version's Battle Factory

The entire Battle frontier is the same as Platinum's. Although I don't really care for the Battle Frontier in he first place. I like the new move tutors.

I know the Battle Frontier is the same as Platinum's, just don't like the Battle Factory specifically & yes, the new move tutors are a thankful addition to the remakes.

Post subject:  Re: HG/SS likes and dislikes

I think the new Move Tutors are essentially garbage. Who will ever want to teach moves like Worry Seed, Gravity and freaking String Shot to their Pokemon? The only usable new Tutor moves are Super Fang, Heal Bell and maybe Pain Split. This outing had really weak selections, even for in-game purposes.

Post subject:  Re: HG/SS likes and dislikes

I agree completely with that, FR & LG had a better Move Tutor selection then HG & SS does. Oh, & don't think for a second that the new egg moves added makes up for it. Though my biggest problem with the Move Tutors are that they don't really teach pokemon moves that benefits their highest base offense, ATK or SPATK respectively. Oh well, they still did a magnificent job on this nontheless.
