I agree with you. Emerald was the best. Platinum's was just...boring. If I remember correctly, wont HG/SS be the first non-combination games(like platinum, emerald, etc.) to have a battle frontier?

No Pokemon game that was set in a brand-new region had a Battle Frontier in it. HeartGold and SoulSilver are remakes of the original Johto games. Emerald and Platinum were improved versions of the original games set in their respective regions, too. They're all in the same boat, really... except that HeartGold and SoulSilver are being updated for Generation IV. |

No. Blue/Yellow and Crystal are in the same boat as Platinum and Emerald. No graphic improvement just added features.
FRLG and HGSS are remakes. Graphics improve in remakes as well as added features. _________________   |

I was talking about games that revisit an older region, not remakes.
You're right, Emerald and Platinum aren't remakes - but I wasn't saying they were. I was only saying that they're set in older regions, and the remakes are as well. _________________ Most Wanted Shinies:      |

I assume they're changing the TM/HM list, then? I had been wondering about that.

They'd have to, because there's whirpool too, unless they make them HMs, which cant be held anyways

They might not change the TM list. They may just add a move tutor for Headbutting trees. And since you can't trade HMs, they would probably just change some of the HMs to field moves that you would use in HG/SS. They wouldn't make any new ones though.

Looks like the birds are in kanto, because of the train picture right next to them. I'm surprised they put them in, although Lugia is the "king" of the birds.

http://www.pokemon.com/#heartgoldsoulsilver This portion of the website has info on the release of HG/SS. If you watch the end of the video link, it says "Coming Spring 2010" So nobody is sure what month and day the game will come out.

For anybody who hasn't heard, yet, Mewwo will be in Cerulean Cave, the Lati@s will roam Kanto, Groudon/Kyogre will be near Cianwood and so will Rayquaza, the Kanto and Hoenn starters are avaliable at times after the National Dex, Suicune will be stationary after appearing in certain areas and escaping, and the birds will be in their FRLG locations (except for Moltres, in Mt. Silver). See lolstop for more info.

Mewtwo, Latis, are in. Also all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen starters are in.
