one day i was playing silver and i had just gotten the first..maybe second badge andi was out looking for a nice pokemon to add to my collection. minding my own buisness a battle comes up im hoping for a fair pokemon...and what happens..its Raikou i have know idea how. i thought the dogs came out after you beat the elite four anyway of course it was strong so i didnt catch it :roll: i was mad because i really wanted him and i was only hat the point where there was pokeballs. this still sticks boldly in my mind and makes me mad. :evil: :evil: :evil:

You must have already gone to the burnt tower in Eureak city. Once you see the dogs, they run, and will appear randomly. Don't worry, they will appear again unless you make them faint.

Sounds like a glitch to me, since if you've only got like....two badges... then u wouldn't of gone in the tower because your rival would own you.
Maybe it has something to do with your last save(if you have one) and somehow it transfered onto this save.

this happend years ago i think it was a glitch but i dont think i ever caught him tho i didnt want raikou back then i wanted suicune one of these days ill go back and try for it

That's nearly as strange as what happened to me 3 years ago. I was minding my business, playing my Gold Version, training my lv.96 Feraligatr, when out of nowhere a Entei pops up. Well, I had 6 Master Balls, so I threw one at it. After it was caught, I returned to training my Feraligatr. Then, I run into another pokemon. Believe me when I say this, but my jaw drop, I nearly fainted! I ran into another Entei right after the one I first caught! So I caught it. :D I still to this very day have both Entei's now in my Crystal version, I don't know how it happened, but it happened in my Crystal Version too, except with Raikou. Our games probably were just lucky, I guess....

P.S: I'm new to the Psypokes forums! :D

Who's lieing? I'm not, I know that. 3 years ago, I didn't know how to clone, so I caught BOTH Entei in the wild. Oh, and if you aren't talking to me, I just wasted some of my time. :roll: If you're talking to the creator of this topic, then I am not sure, then. Sorry, if I hurt your feelings, I just know for a fact, i'm not lieing. :(

I love how legendary dogs show up randomly. Me, training my lvl 24 Kadabra near Lake of Rage, lol, and suddenly, OMFG its Entei! So I throw me good old Master Ball and catch it.

As for the creator of this topic, I think your cartridge is a little wierd, lol, maybe it had something to do with the many save glitches in GSC. That file wasn't your first file, was it?

When I first got my Gold version, I had no real knowledge of all the Pokemon there were. My case is similiar to Lugia_the_second's story. I had beaten the 1st gym and I was walking in the route where you can find Woopers and that guy tries to sell you the SlowpokeTail. I was walking through the grass and found Entei. I didn't know what it was and I was shocked. It looked incredibly powerful. I tried to catch it, but I didn't and it ran away. :(

Best luck that I had with the dogs was when i was about 10 and training in the route south of blackthorn (and had cloned masterballs on me) and popped into an entei.. Caught it with the masterball.... a little further going south, none other than raikou pops up :D ..Catch it aswell

I was so happy I told my mom lol

She was probably in her head going WTF!! GTFO!

i beg to differ you can clone on crystal and i do it a lot
for extra master balls
it is an in game glitch no action replay or game shark required
kinda like emerald cloning

something must be wrong but anyway my game is abnormal 2 as i can't switch (the option to switch pokemon) pokemon in battle

and on a side note: darktyphlosion i'm STILL waiting for my product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go to options and you will see the battle style option. yours is probably on the set option which doesnt let you switch pokemon. switch it to shift
