Well of course if there are pokemon black and white there will be a deluxe version and since the other two are named after colors the third one will be two and they could give you a decision to go to white forest or black city

Mektar said a couple of months ago about a possibility of Pokemon Plasma. That would be nice, a version based on Team Plasma. Maybe you play as the same character in Black and White and you go undercover as a member of Team Plasma to stop them from gaining control over both Reshiram and Zekrom. I'm making a guess, so don't say BS about anything.

Actually, that sounds like it would be pretty fun to play. A game where you go undercover would be awesome! Unfortunately, I doubt it will happen, simply because they've never named a game after what team you fight.... but still, it's a cool idea.

My money's still on some variation of Gray (Graphite, maybe??)

As soon as I heard of Black and White I thought Gray Would be the 3rd.
I always think of shininess when it comes to the collection.... These are basic colors so the 3rd should also be a basic color...like Gray.

Graphite would definitely make an interesting name for a gray shade for the game. I doubt they would go with Chrome since Google is currently marketing the name for their latest product.

I would also like to see a game where all the regions are combined in some way, shape, or form. Become Champion in one region and go to another region to work on your pokedex, only the game limits you as to what you can bring to the new region before conquering it so you can document the native pokemon and evolutions as they are raised and the sort, since it won't be that hard anymore if you steamroll through each region with your level 60-70 pokemon.

I think that the 3rd game wont be called Gray. They've often named the 3rd game something unexpected and i think they will this time too. Kyurem is probably the mascot and may be given a new form. Id actually love if Kyurem had a new form as I feel it needs improvement. Also I hope they remove the Shiny Check on Reshiram, Zekrom and Victini.

Post subject:  Re: Generation V - Black, White, and ???

For people who are unhappy with how Kyurem looks, please remember that similar remarks were made about Giratina before Pokemon Platinum came out. However, we were given a much more satisfactory (in my opinion) styling of it through the Reverse World.

Now, first off, on the matter of the third color.

Its going to be gray. It may not actually say gray, but they're going to pick a grayish color for the game's name. Why? Several reasons.
First, because Nintendo created Team Plasma to represent a sort of gray area (which they failed at, massively).

Second (and I already saw that someone in this thread was thinking along the same line), Reshiram and Zekrom represent the Yin Yang symbol from Taoism. Remember, the story says that the two legendary dragons were once the same pokemon but split in two by conflicting ideals. Now, in Taoism, there is a third force called Wuji. Wuji represents nothingness; an absence of life and energy. And it is represented by the color gray (I'm only like 80% sure on the color, and I can't find my World Religions Text Book and its driving me nuts. But, hey, it fits).

Third, Zekrom is half Electric Type. Reshiram is half Fire Type. Both of these represent common forms of energy found on our planet. Kyuram's sup typing, ice, is, at its lowest form, also known as Absolute Zero, a lack of energy, or "Frozen" as I like to think about it. For those who don't know, Absolute Zero is the lowest known temperature, something that only can be achieved when there is absolutely NO ENERGY. That means no moving particles, nothing. Which links back to the theory of Wuji. Which in turn links to the color gray.

Now, a message to the Nintendo Executives. Please, for the love of all things Pokemon, put the Vs. Seeker in grey. PLEASE. Since its introduction in Generation III, a large portion of the Pokemon Community have become addicted to the easiness of training pokemon through the Vs. Seeker, and we want it back. Thank you.

ok, first off, grey or "gray'" makes perfect sense, after reading 99.9% of your comments i have decided to post. one, yes, kyurem makes perfect sense as the mascot pokemon just to state the obvious and stating that it most likely will be, but what if it were to be Genesect, since it was made by team plasma to be like mewtwo, and you had to get the two dragons to stop it? just a thought. second they need to let you have your pokemon follow you again, have the VS. seeker, and we need to rechallenge gym leaders(also keep the sports arenas, those are fun too ^^) and 3, i assure you guys they are going to make a remake of ruby and sapphire, they always make remakes since gen 3

Post subject:  Re: Generation V - Black, White, and ???

@Ghost Writer: Wow, that whole thing actually makes a lot of sense. I haven't played BW yet, so I'm not aware of the "mythology" behind the two mascots, or of Team Plasma's unending fountain of suckishness (lolwut). But the Yin/Yang symbolism definitely does make sense; I was unaware of the fact that there was a Wuji form, or lack of energy, so that's pretty interesting.

@MirageWingZapdos: I do agree that it will probably be some variation on Gray. Maybe they won't necessarily just be like, "Get Pokemon Gray" or anything like that; but Graphite, Monochrome, etc., are some variations on this that sound pretty cool.

In my opinion, it's practically a guarantee that it will be Kyurem. I don't think that it will be Genesect, simply because it's an event-only Pokemon. But I think the major question going around the Pokemon forums (on this whole B-W-? thing at least) is whether or not there will be an alternate form for Kyurem. Rayquaza didn't have an alternate form; Giratina did. I don't know if the Gen II games had alternate forms or not in them (I'm guessing not) so I'm not gonna add Suicune to the score. But nonetheless, I'm hoping there will be a really awesome looking alternate form of Kyurem. What it'll look like, on the other hand, is a different question.

The third game shall be called Pokemon Periwinkle version because Kyurem is gray and blue. It's simply the perfect name!

Post subject:  Re: Generation V - Black, White, and ???

After playing through White, Ive got to say gray/grey or something along that line is gonna be the third game. I think everyone has come to that conclusion.

AS for the Mascot it will either be Kyruem (99% chance) OR the poke that Reshiram and Zerkom split from (1% chance). I know it does seem to be a bit of a strech, but it may, just on theoff chance, it could be the mascot for Gen 5's third game.

HEY EVERYONE REMEMBER ME!!!
I'm back from the dead because Firefox has let me utilize sign-on features again! (Fun news, I can now also use online banking.)

Anyway, on topic, I'm betting Grey, though LawenceCodye actually had an idea I liked (that never happens ... no offense, Lawence ;p) when he suggested Cyan.
It fits with Kyurem's secondary color to Grey, and goes along with the color spectrum and whatnot.
Also, it's pretty much dreadfully obvious that Kyurem is the corpse of the original Dragon that fell from space, and this provides two reasons for its power over ice (corpses and outer space are both dreadfully cold).
OH! And Genosect should TOTALLY be at the P2 Laboratory (which should also play more of a role)!
I vote this version's Battle Frontier either be incorporated into the Subways or be in Anville Town. If they were to be in the subways, then each train should be CRAZY different from the next, and screw those stupid conductors. They can be one "Frontier Brain" and leave the rest of the trains to other cool characters.
VS SEEKER and GYM REMATCHES need to come back. Please?

Do you think the two women in N's Castle are going to play more of an active role (meaning we get to battle them)?
What about the Shadow Triad? The Seven Sages? Ooooh! It'd be fun if the sages each had Pokemon who corresponded with the seven colors they represent!
What would the version exclusives be? Maybe no Munna but you get both Gothita and Solosis?
I wonder if we'll receive Zorua as a gift...that'd be neat.

Gray would be possible. Either that or Chrome, which has been mentioned, sounds neat.
Or Spectrum.

Post subject:  Re: Generation V - Black, White, and ???

In all generations of pokemon games there was always a third game that wasn't part of the duo...ex red/blue had yellow, gold/silver had crystal and so on and so forth. there was a few games wit no third. black and white is not one of them. Shijiri will prolly name it Grey. If you think about it, it makes sense. i have black and white for my 3DS but i want them for my laptop and i only have the Desmune DS emulator. i cant find the game roms anywhere, can someone help me?

For some reason, I think 'Chrome' would work well. Gray just sounds kind of bland.

Honestly, the name doesn't really matter to me; I'm probably gonna get it anyways, and I'm sure that whatever name they pick will grow on us. In fact, if I recall correctly, weren't some people against naming the Gen V games Black and White? Not that their opinions would've made an iota of difference, but nonetheless...

Personally, I just wanna know if Kyurem will have an alternate form, and if so, what it'll look like. Origin Giratina was beastly-looking; I hope they'll do the same for Kyurem.

Does it realy matter what the name is as long as the game is fun/good ?

Someone once mentioned that the names of the third game have always followed the name of the character in the manga... they then said that the name of the third character in the BW series was Grey. Though do not quote me on this, I cannot recall who even said this or where you can even find the manga for the series. I will edit this post once I find some info on it.

Post subject:  Re: Generation V - Black, White, and ???

In the Black and White chapters there's Black, White, Cheren, Bianca and others but, as much as I can find on Bulbapedia, no one named Grey or Gray. As for the manga-game naming thing, I think it's the other way round - Platinum's name wasn't really revealed until the game was officially announced (...I think?).
Baaaack to the topic, I vote for Gray unless Game Freak would actually put in some effort to surprise us. But, as Jaypokes said, as long as the game is awesome the name doesn't really matter (that much).
