Don't let it bother you eventually you will get used to it. it's not easy at first but after awhile you just get use to it. It does get pretty dull after awhile but the secret is to spice things up.

Wait, DNA has a fanfic? Sweeeet. I wanna read it. It'd be better than some of the stuff on here I'm certain. And while we are off-topic, my fanfic's actually almost completely non-canon. The only canon character you see is Joey, and he appears for like five minutes in a nightmare. No ash Ketchup or anything.

I hope so. I'm not often playing Pokemon directly, mostly just RPing like crazy with my friend in the Pokemon world. This new game should be just the thing to bring me back into it and start the forums again.

What this place needs is a surge of fresh blood. Maybe you should advertise your forums. spend that 5 bucks a day to put yourself on the websites that are frequented like bulbapedia or facebook. As a suggestion of course.

First off; Who would be the ones spending the said five dollars anyway though?
Secondly; Our problem is probably lack of things to discuss rather than lack of members.

I don't think there's any lack of things to discuss because there are a bunch of other Pokemon forums out there that have no problem generating discussion - check out Pokebeach's for example, they get pretty similar traffic to the main site as we do, but the forums are way more active. I really do think we have lack of users who feel like posting lately but I don't know what else to do about it.

Well like I said, if you could get advertisements onto the site (I know, one of THOSE) then you would be able to afford to put your own advertisements on other sites. The monthly payments would be self generating. At least in theory. There are obviously more that goes into it but it would never hurt to at least do some research if you haven't already.

We already have Google Ads, and that's not really driving any additional traffic to the forums. Also buying people onto the forums seems way tacky. I'd rather just have people posting here because they want to rather than aggressively spamming our forum link via payola.

Yeah. I thought I would give my two cents.

But I don't personally buy that people have run out of topics. there is an entire general topics that is for common talk. Surely someone has something to talk about.
