After a long time of not playing Gold, I decide to play Gold (lol) out of boredom. I started over. Well, I was forced to start over, because even though I've made progress in it, when I try to continue with the game, it says, "Save file corrupted". So, I started over, then I got to route 31, then I was fishing with the Old Rod, then my game froze up and was making a noise that was hard to describe. Then, I headed into Union Cave. I think I was going down a ladder, or close to it, then my game went to the title screen, as if I turned off and back on the game. I was where I last saved.
Is there anything wrong with my game? I want to know what's going on...Also, I was using my SP, which I have played Saphire on, and use an AR on Sapphire with that same SP.

It could be from:

Battery Chip thing out of power.
Corruption.
Badly Damaged.
Dust/Water trapped inside the interior of the game cartridge.
Plain "Old Age"

Meh, it's probably 1 of the above, but there could be a different explanation.

I'd probably go for old age. I have no clue how long I've had that. Maybe 5 years or something... :roll:

Had gold since the beginning, mine works fine. Had BLUE since the beginning, works better than ever. Sorry to say, but I sense a corruption. Try blowing the cartrige holding thingy

I have the same problem

My Gold went corrupt, and now it keeps deleting my save file...you should somehow try and find the save thingy and if it's damaged or not. It could be...

Mine did that too. Today I started over Gold for the heck of it. I picked a female totodile, and made my way through the first route. Once I got into the city I talked to the old man and my screen turned red and white. I turned off my game and started it up again. The same thing happened when I was watching the intro. Then the main screen poped up, but I couldn't do anything. Then it turned red and white again. I don't understand. The game usually works great.
