I recently came back from a vacation to Thailand where I, saw a lot the kids playing a game called "Pokemon Chaos Black Version" the cartridge and box are obviously fakes but the game actually plays, none of the dead cartridges. The game is made by MewThree Inc. (COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT) and is exactly the same as Fr/Lg except there are about twenty new Pokemon, including starters. Maybe some one has already found this but if I am the first person to have found this tell me and I will post some pics. |

I've edited the title a bit to make it more informative, if you don't mind. Anyway, you're saying this game was sold as a cartridge? It couldn't be a ROM then, since ROMs are for the PC. It seems to be a pirated and edited copy of the FRLG games. I'll wait for the screenshots

I found a picture of the cover on eBay. The link's here. They've got several people selling it. Even weirder, it's in English. Freaky thing on the front, huh? Oh yeah, the last item on the previous page shows screenshots that are obviously not from the game. |

It's obvious that they are based on FR/LG and since it is, then Nintendo should make money from them seeing as it is their game that has simply been edited. I'd like to see how this turns out  .

the game only goes until mt. moon. just behind the fossils there is water instead of the cave exit. And most of the fake pokemon are similar to the normal pokemon, they only look different. the only real new pokemon is the grass starter which learns thunderbolt at lvl15. |

Exactly what I thought. Maybe they reprogrammed the game to let Gyarados learn Surf naturally, or maybe the new starter. Strange... dinges, do you know about that game because you've played it? |

This is just an idea, but maybe Chaos Black was a prototype that Nintendo created, and the problem with Mt. Moon is because Ninty put it there because when they programmed it, they didn't have time to do much further. Someone must have got hold of the prototype, and hacked it a bit, then sold it. |

This could be true... I guess. I personally think it was someone reprogramming a game, but this is still a possibility. Hmmm... on every official game that nintendo makes, they always put an official nintendo seal on it. I'll post a pic of that in a sec. If the games have it, then it is most likely what you said, goldenquagsire. But if it doesn't, then the chances are that someone reprogrammed a game and made their own sticker. Here is the sticker, except it is flatter and oval, with the words along the bottom on one line: Click here... I can't seem to post the image directly. |

I was hoping no one else had noticed that so I could say it! I bought a fake pokemon game thats realy long and hard its called pokemon Jade it was alright but there was no way to get past a certain part. |

Yeah, apparently that one came around at about the same time that a fake Diamond version was being produced. They were both made in Japan somewhere, translated by someone who from the looks of the screenshots I've seen had the English vocabulary of a seven year old, and sold to all-too trusting Pokefans in the west. Heh, I wouldn't mind playing one just to see how completely brain dead the bootleggers were. (They're never very bright, are they?) |

Ho hum. Trust me, it SUCKS. If you lose battles against certain pokes that block your way (think Snorlax) then the entire game is over. Plus training is a nightmare. The whole thing is mostly craptalk, and you can chop the grass off the route with the B button. Give me some time, I'll get screenshots. Although Chaos Black sound like something else. It almost sounds fun. |

 I got a pic! It's also sold here in the Philippines. The saleslady enthusiastically tells me that it's the latest version of the pokemon series. Doof, man! Good thing I'm always updated with the pokemon world, thanks to psypoke. And grr, I really think it sucks!
A part of it could also be found in YOUTUBE. ( Look for pokemon chaos black in google, click on the one linked to youtube. ) ...could it be possible to link it with firered & leafgreen? |

Aw man I use to live in the Philipines. But you know the reason they didn't sell it here was maybe because back in the Philipines the pokemon games like screw up your game boy. Especialy the pirated once. So on the other hand were pretty lucky too. |
