I picked {cyndaquil}.
no, I don't just train my starter all the way through, I always make a team of at least 5 pokemon and train them at equil levels.
I simply picked {cyndaquil} coz {typhlosion} is cool and can learn thunderpunch.

Lol in my first game I chose Cyndy and went through the whole game pretty much only using him. I beat the E4 ENTIRELY with him. I beat all the Kanto gym leaders with him alone. He owned everybody. He had Flamethrower even before the E4. It was sad, but sooo cool. I always loved Cyndy, Quily and Typhy. I remember beating the Kanto gym leaders in one day with him :).

i agree with lethalvirus,

so i chose treecko in my ruby. (my other choices ar the same as u, charmander in Red and FireRed, and cyndaquil in Gold)

I used to only pick the water starter but now I pick wich ever one seems the best. Go totodile!!!!!!!!!!

I usually pick {cyndaquil} because of Buggsie. But I'm cheap and thats why I got Silver for my Gold to get {totodile} and {chikorita} :mrgreen:.

On my Crystal, I chose Totodile because the last save file I had on Gold used Chicorita, and because I always use Cyndaquil. Not saying that Cyndy sucks but it try and vary my game a little.

cyndaquil is overrated, they make him sound like he is some kinda uber. However, he is better than the others so he will forever be my starter. :D

i picked totodile,for a few reasons.

1.i have always liked the lizard like starters,such as treecko and charmander.
2.he is the one to be the hardest to train if u think about it,lv18 for him to evolove croconaw,and then 30 for gater,the other two would have evovled by then.
3.for when i got red i picked squirtule as my starter so i have liked the water type.
4.for he is very good.
5.just because there are so many totodile haters out there,i love totodile.
6.and this is the last reason,totodile rocks!
also i am glad there are totodile lovers out there. :D
