How much does X Speed raise the stat?

I've been wondering because I've been playing for a while and finally got my genetically superior Marowak (from an egg with 2 trained parents, the highest stat'd out of 10 or so hatchlings to be exact, pretty much OD'd on every vitamin available right after hatching, thick club, etc), and its making me angry because it is still slow so it gets beat. I was wondering how much an item like X Speed raises the stat. I'm guessing probably only 1 level so you'd need 6 of them to max out the speed, but I may be wrong. Anyone know? Thanks!

I think X-Speed is a temporary effect, and only lasts until the end of the battle. I think you want Carbos, however, I cannot tell you how much it raises the stat. Use it and find out. (Oh and you need ten to "Max it Out", however it doesn't max it out all the way.)

Thanks for the quick reply, I've already maxed out on Carbos, so yeah, I was wondering how much the X Speed raises it in battle. I just noticed that it says "1 BTL" in the item description, so does that mean 1 level out of 6 (like the scale used by agility)?

That is what I think happens, but I'm not 100% sure on this. What about X Accuracy then? How does it work?

Heh, just wasted 15 minutes pwning the Elite Four to get some money, then I did some expiramenting (like I should have done from the start, actually). Looks like the X Speed can only do 6 levels (like any other basic stat increasing move) and stuff like Dire Hit and X Accuracy can only be used once. I imagine X Attack and stuff would also be 6.

i'm sure you can only get 6 uses out of an x speed, And i also think that 1 BTL means 1 battle which means use ofr only one battle
and that is my 5 cents

No.

look when you use howl your attack goes up by 1 stage
use the attack again and it goes up a second stage.... this will continue till howl has increased your attack by six stages. this is when you get the " ________'s attack wont Get any higher" message

He is asking if X ______ works like howl and only raise attack 6 times in one battle.

Of Course i beleive the game limits it and only lets you use one X item per pokemon per battle. so you need stat up-ing moves to go up the other 5 stages...

1 BTL means 1 battle, so for 1 battle only it raises speed by 1/2 the original, or 1 level as described earlier. Sometimes it is useful, as there are few accuracy boosting moves and critical hit boosting moves. Two x attacks = 1 swords dance though.

if u do start to run out of money (doubt you will tho) try and give one of your pokemon quick claw, (im not so sure if that was in gold, silver and crystall tho) Or just teach your pokemon agility, it takes 3 agilitys to max out the speed,

e.g One agility = 2 x speeds
Same as sword dance but that just sharply raises attack
