I've a luck with pinsir alot lately.But still scyther owns so pinsir and scyther are your best bets there.

I always use a scyther/scizor for the bug catching because they learn false swipe, which is guaranteed a 1 hp remaining. i just train one to lv. 100 and false swipe away. |

No, thats only in the route with that bug catcher - its to the southeast of the park. Right by the guard. It has been shown that level 13/14 Scyther and Pinsir have the highest chance of winning that contest, though beedrill and butterfree work, too. |

although not well known, caterpie/weedle lvl 17 are 30 points higher than a lvl 14 scyther |

A pinsir or scyther will usually win it, I usually encounter pinsirs more often |
