Does anybody know if you can get special items from trainer's pokemon?
Like Dragon Fang, Black Belt and Silverpowder from RS.
I found a couple that have regular items and some i'm guessing they do, (ones with a ? I'm not 100% sure on)
Lady Jacki (Resort Gorgeous)
Hoppip LV. 48 @ Stardust (LG)/?Pearl (FR)
Skiploom LV. 50 @ Stardust (LG)/?Pearl (FR)
Lady Gillian (Resort Gorgeous)
Mareep LV. 47 @ Stardust (LG)/?Pearl (FR)
Mareep LV. 48 @ Stardust (LG)/?Pearl (FR)
Flaaffy LV. 49 @ Nugget (LG) (?FR)
Crush Girl Cyndy (Sevault Canyon)
Primeape LV. 54 @ Black Belt
Hitmontop LV. 54 @ Black Belt
Machamp Lv. 54 @ Black Belt
As you can tell a couple I haven't figured out. If anybody knows any that have ?, or some that aren't even listed here, please post here.

I've tried thiefing them, but for some reason you can't steal trainer tower items. (It would be awesome if you could steal them)

If you use thief or trick on one of the karate guy in the top of Viridian Gym, you'll get a black belt.

There's a trainer on the way to the Lost Cave that has a Primeape, Hitmontop, and Machoke [Machamp in rematches]. She's a little bit before the house with the dancing Chansey guy and standing by herself. Each of her three Pokemon are holding a Black Belt. You can yoink any or all of them (depending on how many thieves are in your party), and you can repeat the battle as often as you'd like (with VS Seeker). I gathered up about 8 of them before moving on, and I use them as leverage in trades.

I'll try and track down the Fang and Powder you want, but no promises. I'll post anything good I come across.

Okay, i'll try on my game too, I also think you can get the Dragon Fang from wild Dragonairs in the safari zone (I've fished a long time but never even saw one ) and the Silver Powder from Wild Venomoth.
So, what pokes are you using to Thief/Covet items?
I have a LV. 85 Linoone with Maxed out Covet (64 PP), a Lv. 54 Marowak with Thief and a Lv. 65 Dodrio with Thief.

Right now, I'm just using a Persian. I'm not so deep into my games, yet, that I have numerous thieves going. My next thief is probably going to be a Sneasel or someone along those lines - I always felt that a role player should look the part.
I was a bit lax in getting my game underway. I fell asleep - after about 4 straight hours of play - and my game had shut off. I was so discouraged that I stopped playing for a while. I'm just a little behind, but I'm catching up quickly.
Also, I'm more interested in stealing from trainers than wild Pokemon. The odds are 100% (as opposed to 05%) on a trainer's Pokemon, and you can fight them any time you want. The less that is left up to chance, the better.

I'm doing pretty much the same thing (The Ladies in Resort Gorgeous give you about 20,000$ (with amulet coin) and you can get Stardust and Nugget from their pokes), though you can't get some items from trainers. Like Metal Powder, Twisted Spoon, Focus Band, etc.
I just got a Sharp Beak from a Wild Fearow yesterday, but I haven't had much luck finding trainer's items.

Resort Gorgeous is my main hang for cash. You can easily drum up $200,000 in about 10 to 15 minutes. It's a shame that their Pokemon are so weak.

I've decided that I'm going to start each game over, but trade myself a set of thieves immediately. I will steal from every single trainer's Pokemon without missing a single one.
I'll post results in a new thread. It'll probably be a little while before I post anything. Maybe I'll post after every two gyms, or something.
