i had the battle fronteir cheat...i was in the battle dome using my feraligatr, charizard, and sceptile...i went against this girl with a meganium, feraligatr, and charizard...it was a double battle and i picked sceptile and feraligatr and she used feraligatr and charizard...i used rock slide on charizard from my feraligatr AND IT LIVED which is a 4x weakness...then she used fire blast from charizard on my feraligatr a 0.5 weakness and it nearly died...i lost that battle miserably...
BATTLE FRONTEIR CHEATS INDEED!

Have to agree. THey always seem to get critical hits when most needed, or their attacks are phenomanally powerful.
however, it then brings about a sense of achivement when you wipe them out.

Once in my sapphire in the Battle Tower my swampert did an OHKO on a sceptile with surf. Not a critical hit. I cheated the game!!! I Attacked first!!!that was like when in emerald I found , in the safari zone a hoothoot or spinirak with pokerus.Take that game!

i guess the thing that is getting me is that i have gold symbols for the other 6 places. so i have good pokemon of my own, and they have won everything they can for me. but to get that gold trainer card i have to rely on dumb luck to get good pokemon in the battle factory.
it cheated again this morning when my heracross missed 3 out of 4 megahorns, and i saw my team get demolished by hydro pumps and iron tails! oh well, it will have to happen eventually.....

I just lost at a perfectly good Factory streak. I got to about the 5th round doing 2v2 before failing at the first battle. On the one before that, I was able to choose Gengar and Golem, and the were pwnsome, and I only used my third Pokémon once, on the first battle. The next round, I started out with a Dodrio and Steelix as my starters. The opponent had a Fearow and a Moltres. I obviously switched Steelix out, because Moltres would KO it with a Fire move. Then, something happened, and Dodrio fainted, so I had to send Steelix back out. Then, Moltres sent an Overheat at Steelix...I was really annoyed because if Dodrio didn't faint, the Overheat would have targeted Dodrio instead of Steelix. my last Pokémon was a Starmie with Psychic, Ice Beam, Comsic Power, and Recover. I targeted Moltres first, but Starmie didn't have a chance. -_-

yeah, its like that hey. or you switch out and discover that the opponent uses a move which would have been absolutely ridiculous on the one you had in to begin with but very effective against the one you sent in. like switch out a fire/rock type for a grass type because you expect the opponents slowbro to use surf, and he uses flamethrower instead.
i almost lost a battle this morning. i ended up with my claydol (last poke) against their lanturn (their last poke). it had used up all its hydro pumps on my other pokes and all it had left was rain dance, confuse ray and, presumably, thunder. so it confused me. and it went like this:
lanturn used confuse ray. claydol became confused. claydol is confused - it hurt itself in its confusion.
lanturn used rain dance. it started to rain. claydol is confused - it hurt itself in its confusion.
lanturn used rain dance. but it failed. claydol is confused - it hurt itself in its confusion.
lanturn used confuse ray. claydol is already confused. claydol is confused - it hurt itself in its confusion.
lanturn used confuse ray. claydol is already confused. claydol snapped out of its confusion. claydol used psychic. claydols attack missed!
so, bright powder thrown into the mix. then it confused me, and i kept hurting myself until i snapped out of confusion, missed with psychic a second time, and then finally hit it on my next turn even though it had made me confused again. thankfully i knew i only had to hit it one more time. i was at about 30% health!!
EDIT: ok heres another CLASSIC. i had a misdrevous against a salamence. i used thunderwave, confuse ray, mean look, and perish song. the salamence had used crunch on its first turn and almost killed me. it had also used it once again and missed because of bright powder. (so now i feel like im cheating!!) so when the perish count got down to one, i switched out my misdrevous. and sent in my jolteon since it had the higher special defence out of my remaining pokes and i figured salamence would try crunch again. but what did it use? EARTHQUAKE of course!!! of course, yeah, because earthquake is really going to hurt misdrevous, what with levitate and all. but the funniest thing is that jolteon had bright powder too (i didnt even realise, because i had just swapped it at the end of the previous battle) and earthquake MISSED!! lol. i almost lost that battle because they had a breloom which put two of my pokes to sleep, but i got lucky with the paralysis my jolteon was able to inflict before i was put to sleep.

I hate the Battle Frontier sometimes.
Here's a couple instances I hate:
Dome Ace Tucker Silver #1 (asking for it really):
I went up against him with Salamence and Minun. He pulled Swampert first which OHKO'd Salamence with Ice Beam. I used Minun. Even though his attacks are all Electric type, there was Toxic...but he OHKO'd me with Earthquake.
Tucker Silver #2 (lucky):
I completely rearranged my team. Mostly I get lucky with these things, and this is one instance. I decided to lead with Latios, and he led with Swampert again. I used Psychic, and he used Counter, which failed. The same was on the 2nd turn. Then he pulled Charizard who went first with Aerial Ace and I lost 60% of my HP. If the T-Bolt wasn't a critical I would have lost. Lucky...
Greta Silver #1 and #2 (really unlucky):
I hate Greta so much! She's pretty damn lucky to survive. The lead is almost always the same. I use Typhlosion's Flamethrower to weaken Heracross to low red zone. Lucky his Reversal doesn't actually OHKO me - but it sends me to low red. The first battle I got hit, but the second I didn't. Then Sceptile always defeats Umbreon by the judgment but he used Confuse Ray on the 3rd turn. I tried to sick Toxic on Shedinja but I hurt myself on both occasions. Then Shedinja OHKO's Sceptile with Aerial Ace or Shadow Ball. I do have one last Pokemon, Latios, but he can't penetrate the Wonder Guard, so I lost because of a dumb Confuse Ray...Twice. I have yet to win and I'm lucky if I get to her! Dumb cronies! Agh! (OK I'm better now.)

Ah, this is soooo true!!!
Its always the focus band one for me, just thundered a feraligatr, holds on with focus band! Use quick attack to finish him off(with 1 of his hp left) and he focus bands again!! Grrraagggh! Lol everyone enjoys venting about this nice topic choice.

wow thats some more bad luck!!
i just lost in my 33rd battle factory match because of this:
his last pokemon was a hariyama and i had a gardevoir (about 60hp) out and a regirock (full health) still to come. i had destiny bond and endure. so i tried endure on the first turn to see what he would do. and it did COUNTER!! of all things. i was so annoyed about that that i lost my focus and tried to hit it with psychic, which i was pretty sure wouldnt quite OHKO it. and it didnt - it put him at about 10%, and he used cross chop on me which KO'ed the gardevoir. then i sent in regirock with its HUGE defence and thought surely i can survive one shot in order to KO it with brick break. but of course cross chop got a critical hit and that was that.
i guess now im mainly just annoyed that i didnt keep using destiny bond with gardevoir. it would have been a sure winner, and i would have been battling my 34th trainer. not writing this stupid post!!!

I doubt the game actualy cheats at all, reguardless of what happens.
Though I do agree that opponents do seem to get lucky just when they need it most.

yeah, i know its not really "cheating" since it should all even out. but thats the trick i guess. you have to get past 42 battles in a row. if each battle lasts 10-20 moves, then theres a good chance something dodgy will happen in every third or fourth battle, and theres a good chance something REALLY dodgy will happen some time during the course of the 42 battles. oh well, back to the drawing board. i had another try, and i got wiped out after about 10 battles. im now trying to swap after every single match, at least up until about 21 battles. im sure its been giving me better pokemon as a result. although, last time i made it to the 5th round it again gave me 4 pokes with ice weakness as part of the 6 to choose from (zapdos, dragonite, latias, something grass - cant remember).

Like said above, I don't think the Battle Fronteir 'cheats'.
It's probably just something with the programming that overpowers them ridiculously.

Focus Band, man I hate that.
I was fighting a Wobbufett and good ol' Sceptile did a critical with Leaf Blade which should have been a OHKO but he focused. He used Counter and nothing happened, then I tried Leaf Blade again and it focused again! But since I didn't do any damage he had nothing on me. The third time he didn't focus, and I won. Still, it sucks.

There is one event in the battle frontier that no one has mentioned yet and that is the battle palace, The amount of times I've had it come up
"..... is incapable of using their power" just as they are about to deal the finishing blow even though they have the right nature has made me want to scream.
Then again it happened to the palace Mavens twice so I guess it does balance out.

i think the frieking battle tower cheats too, i use a team of hera, latios, and meta,
Latios ko's seaking
latiois ko's golduck
opponent sends out heracross
latios uses psychihc
heracross has 1 hp cuz of focus band, hera counters, no effect
im like yay i win i use psychihc, holds on to focus band yet again...
heracross uses brick break
critical hit 10 hp on lati left
i use surf, FOCUS BANDED AGAIN
used reversal, killed me.
sent out my hercross
used megahorn, OMG I HATE THAT FOCUS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the opoonent uses megahorn hits me does about 30 dmg, i have 94 hp left
i use brick break and for the love of crap how does it hang on this long??
so it reversals me, Kos me
i send out meta, uses reversal, critical hit 1HKO...
there goes my 73 winning streak..,
