I got Blue first because that was my favorite color. I eventually got the other 2 versions later along with a game link cable so I could finish my Pokedex because I had a spare Gameboy that I rarely used. |

Blue. I picked that one solely on the basis of colour. Since then, I've noticed that all the games in a series that I owned first were the "second" ones. (RBY/GSC/RuSaE) I suppose when I get around to getting a DS, I'll get Pearl first for the sake of the pattern. |

My first game was Red. My aunt gave me an a old gameboy pocket then I went and bought a used Red for like 5$. The dude before me had Lv 100 Mewtwo, Charizard, Moltress, Articuno, Zapdos and Snorlax but didn't have any badges. I started the game and "accidentaly" saved over. [/img] |

Awww...man, memories. Precious memories, it was christmas and I got my Gameboy color...man I loved that thing. I was like cool, but I don't have any games with it. Next thing I opened was Pokemon Blue. I picked bulbasaur and DOMINATED!!! Man, I don't know what happened to mine, but I wanna play it now..lol. I didn't care much for yellow. |

I got Blue Version first, and it is probably still my favorite. It has better version exclusives (Sandslash, Victreebel, Persian) than Red except for Growlithe. Yeah, the first generation is still my favorite. |

I had a Yellow, but my mom thought I was too young to play it...I was only like 6. And she "accidently" vaccumed it up lol. Well, then I got blue, but technaically Yellow was my first game. |

Blue was my first version. To this day, it's still my best. AND it still works and everything!! It's complete with all 150 and as old school as the day I got it from KMart.

well, i never actually owned red, blue, or yellow and i never paid attention to green. the first pokemon game i got was gold which i got from my aunt at Halloween  then i got crystal and i beat the game and all that and caught suicune. i didnt know i could catch the other dogs. now im pissed that i sold it

My first video game ever was blue version. I was 5 or 6 and for christmas I wanted one of those stupid little Pokemon Pikachu virtual pet things. My mom has no idea what the heck it is, so she buys me and my brother each a gameboy pocket and Pokemon. I got a blue gameboy, blue version, and Pacman (I used to own at Pacman). My brother got a transparent gameboy, red or blue (I forget, but I think he got red, his favorite color), and Kirby's Dreamland 2 (I think he got Wave Race as well). I traded my Pacman game for his Kirby game (sucker!). I started with Squirtle in my blue version and was SO clueless! I didn't know how to make Oak come, so I was walking around Pallet Town pressing A on trees like "where are all the Pokemon?".  My brother had to help me. Then later, I didn't know how to make the old man move! Eventually in a different file I had a level 100 Charizard (my old fav) with my rejected starter level 56 Venasaur in my box. Me and my brother used to always battle and his team was Mew, Mewtwo, a Kingler named "Presint" (I traded it to him. Didn't know how to spell "present":lol: ), a Clefable or Wigglytuff (or both maybe), I think he had a Dragonite, and maybe his starter if he didn't have Clefable AND Wigglytuff, and all his pokemon were level 100. All I had was my trusty Charizard. Needless to say, I got owned every time. My Charizard did good though. Always managed to take down Mew, Mewtwo, and Presint! Those were the days... Sorry about the long post. Just so many memories with that game...

Ehehe...I actually started in the Johto region with Silver, since that was the newest game when I first became interested in Pokemon. But I'm planning to get Yellow.
